Oh Fresca, this is a excellent story. It has a slight fluffiness in between the lines of darkness and dispair. And great description dearie.

They drew nearer, their lifeless hands reaching out toward him as if to suck out not only his soul, but his identity, everything about him. They wanted to take the dying air around him, to extinguish the last rays of light in the alleyway, to suck all the joy out of the world if they could. They wanted him on the ground, cowering, crying out in fear. They wanted him to relive his worst memories, to drown in his own despair, powerless to stop the flood of sadness, tragedy, and everything else that was within their power to call upon that would cause him pain.

The description of hopelessness in this paragraph was simply brilliant and I loved the story. *hurries of to read more stories by Fresca*

Wow! I like it. It hits kind of close to home. It reminds me of my grandparents, always yelling. My grandfather calling her names, and sometimes being agressive. But I remember the day, on his birthday, my grandmother kissed him on the forehead and he hugged her. Never thought a story could relate me to Severus Snape. It's not as intense but still...

He knew that no one would see him now, but Severus Snape was never one to show a sign of weakness, even to his shadow.

Have to say I love that line! It's just striking. I think Severus is very in-character, unlike my story. lol. And the ending is great! Inspiring and well-written story! Wonderful job!
