I always feel bad for all the people who gave up so much, including their lives, to fight against Voldemort. All these missions and time away from people, time that they'll never get back. The disco scene was great--Arthur is so funny. I feel bad for Remus because he basically has to take care of a teenager--one who's kind of whiny and bitter. Great chapter.
I agree about people giving up so much. The cause is noble but the price is painfully high. Arthur is such a great guy. Half the time I think Molly doesn't deserve him. :D
Some of the most satisfying students have the worst attitudes at first. I think you'll grow to like Will almost as much as Remus does. :)
Obivously by flying very clever of u
Author's Response: :D
Man i have even read thz story twice!! Keep ur gud work going on.
Author's Response: Thank you for telling me you read the story twice! You made my rainy day sunnier. :)
U really got a awesome talent in writing, iam sure i can bet on that.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for being an encouraging person! It's a great general quality, but in a reader: priceless. *hugs*
Aww what a lovely story:) You are very talented, and I hope you keep writing...I always know a story of yours will be well written and entertaining:) I hope you do continue to write their story, and soon hehe. But really, any new story you choose to write I will definitely read. Keep up the amazing work:)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the compliments and encouragement! I'm going to write R/T again, but it'll be an alternate ending story, because death cannot stop true love. :D
That was so beautifully sad!
Hey I'm sorry i didnt review this before. got a lot of issues 'bout college...
But im back! Your story was lovely as always. It's so weird how dark their lives turn out when at the beginning the only deal was Tonks having issues to love with all her body, soul and hearth again!
Read your gonna write again right at the final battle, couldnt you write us 'bout how little Teddy came into the world? *puppy eyes* please?
Author's Response: Baby Mine is the one shot before the battle and then I'll pick up during the final battle, but other than that, I have to leave up to the imagination. I'm full up on angst, and George and Alicia's childbirth scene in For Bitter or for Worse would be impossible to top. ;)
OMG!!! AH-MAZING!!!!! i can't believe it's really over....i LOVED the ending so much but i would have loved if tonks, after everything, still knew somewhere deep in her heart that there was more to it and that Snape wasn't guilty. it would have been cliched but sweet at the same time. anyhoo....*takes on announcer voice* now that the epic tale of of Remus and Tonks is finally over, i'm sure all of your devoted readers (me) are wondering the same thing.....WHAT WILL YOU DO NEXT!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? *hands microphone to Kerichi*
Tonks knows there's more to it...and that Snape's guilty. She said she wasn't the biggest fool in the world to trust Snape because she didn't take Harry's word for it, she investigated and came to her own conclusion that Snape wasn't in on the plan, he was trying to help Draco and ultimately killed Dumbledore when Draco couldn't. That does make a difference to her, because--unlike Harry and the rest--she understands that someone can do an evil thing and not be evil.
Thank you so much for enjoying the story and giving me the opportunity to plug! I've got a Scorpius/Rose romance over in the Post-Hogwarts category called Our Little Secret I'd love you to read. Scorpius is a new breed of Malfoy, and Rose is less like her mum than she wants people to know!
wouldn't the fact that the baby isnt a werewolf make everything better? and couldn't remus just raise the kid not knowing about his condition but still teaching him to accept werewolfs? and then when teddy's old enough remus can tell him about the whole wolfie thing but because of the way teddy had been raised to accept werwolfs he'll be alright with it!!! See? that simple....LOL. ah-mazing chapter. i can't believe it's almost over though! you know what? i'll get sentimental after the last chapter. ;)
Author's Response: Remus is conflicted between what he thinks he "ought" to do for the good of Tonks and to spare any child the difficulties and danger of a werewolf father, but at the same time he's so truly, madly, deeply in love with Tonks he can't stay away, no matter how many times he tries.
ughh...why must Remus be so difficult? Personally, i don't see the big deal here. ummm...the messed up the mission, it's over. i thought he already forgave her anyway? wasn't that the purpose of the little shin dig they had the shrieking shack? -sigh- anyhoo! ah-mazing chapter! i'm gonna read the net one right now!
Author's Response: Remus can't help it, he'll always have issues, thanks to Jo. The time in the shrieking shack was supposed to be a goodbye, but although Tonks is an irresistible force, Remus proved once again (although he keeps forgetting and having to relearn) that he isn't an immovable object, heh.
Awwww this ending was so bitter sweet. It was a great chapter, the ending made me smile. But its still over, which is why it's sad. :( I'm really anxious for the next story, don't keep us waiting to long!! :D
Author's Response: Thank you for being sad it's over! Although it didn't work with the story to show the wedding and honeymoon, I wrote a poem about it, so if you go over to General/Poetry and check out A Wedding in Colour you'd make my day even sunnier!
snape is NOT capable of good honestly JKR lost the plot in DH she turned a very moving, real gripping series into all of its worst chieches with DH
sapes actions may have "changed" but his heart did not he only stopped serving voldermort because he killed Lily not because he disageed with his stance on anything else
and for all the love he claimes to have had for Lily he treated her son like crap for no real reason the one he swore to dumbledore he would protect
and i wonder how pure his actions would have been without dumbledores portrait staring at him in his headmaster office at hogwarts
snape is no kinf of good now kind oh hero only the WORST kind of EVIL the kind that is ambigious the kind that is not so realiy seen
oh and stop putting tonks and snape together dreaming up new excuses to put them together is bringing down the quality and authentisity of the story
Author's Response: You're certainly entitled to your views about Snape and JKR's series, (although I certainly disagree) but there will be no "stopping" since I'm done with the story. If you read through the last chapter, you might see where I've been leading with Tonks relying on and trusting Snape.
Brilliant series! I wasn't expecting it to be over this soon, but oh well. I have been reading this entire series for about a year now. I just wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed it.
Remus/Tonks is my favorite ship in the entire Harry Potter series and I think you've captured it beautifully in your series. This was a wonderful ending to a great series. I will be looking forward to the AU sequel!
Thank you so much for telling me you enjoyed the series! Remus and Tonks are my one true pairing, they're like Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, simply meant to be. :)
Ending the story after the hospital scene was the only way that felt "right." This isn't the typical happy ending because the story had a lot of angst, and readers know full well that the future will be angsty too. I think the main reason I wrote the story was to show that no matter how many times Remus tries to leave Tonks because he thinks she'll be better off, he'll never be able to stay away because he loves her too much, and he needs her too much.
Thank you, too, for looking forward to the sequel. If you want to read my idea of their wedding and honeymoon, I have a poem in the General Fics/Poetry category called A Wedding in Colour that I'd love you to read!
im so sad its over! i think you should write a sequal and have it be cannon until the last battle and then just...let them live... = )
Author's Response: I planned to do just that, write "canon" and then change the ending, but there was so much death and dark times in the final book, I just don't want to go there. The next story will begin during the final battle...and have a few surprises. :D
Oh noes! Was this the end? I didn't see that coming... well, the chapter title was an omen, but I didn't know it meant the end of the series! :O It feels like you just ended a part of my life. How long have I been following this?? I dread to dwell upon it ;)
Sowwy about not being a good reviewer lately. I've not even had time to write on my own fics for a really long time. I've been so busy the last year! It's baffling.
These last two chapters wrapped it all up very well. We had their emotional struggles and disagreements, and you even let us experience a mothering Tonks. The only thing left wanting was perhaps to know what happened to Jerry. But you made the important moments happen, and for that I'm one happy reader. And you got SO CLOSE to making me cry. I was very touched *sniff sniff*...
Ah well, not the first chapter reviewer, but hopefully not the last :) And, hopefully, I can be looking forward to a lovely AU continuation to fight for another victory dance? ;P
REMUS AND TONKS FOREVER!
It had to be said eventually...
Oh oh, how about a fic with Teddy at Hogwarts? You would nail that one... just a thought... *poke*
I've got the AU story planned out (mostly) in my head, I just need a break from angst before I can write it. As for Jerry, for the last two stories I've planned a one shot where Cami goes to the cemetery she first saw him (as a man) to tell him he'll always be the love of her life but she has to try to move on...she's going on a date with Jerry.
Only thing that kept me from writing it was seeing Cast Away again. In the film, the Tom Hanks character survives on an island for 4 bloody years, goes back to the love of his life, (played by Helen Hunt) only to find she's moved on, married and has a young daughter. In the film, she tells him she always knew he was alive, but everyone told her she had to move on. They kiss and part . . . and I thought that was the stupidest bs ending, that she should have left the husband, given him the house and visitation rights, and been true to her heart . . . and that's the story I'd like to write about Sirius and Cami. He comes back, discovers she's moved on, drama ensues, and in the end, true love prevails.
Only trouble is, I can't think of a plausible way to bring Sirius back, so I'm going to write Scorpius and Rose and then see, while I'm showing how Tonks and Remus were only thought to be dead, if I can do the same for Sirius. :D
You've been busy with school and acting and travelling, right? I hope it's been fun and if you didn't have time to write, maybe you've been waiting for just the right inspiration!
I really like your stories. This was a good chapter.
Although it caught me of guard. It really was not what I expected for an ending to this fic.
I enjoyed it. I really like your works.
Author's Response: Thank you for enjoying it, even though it wasn't what you expected. I wrote with this end in mind, not giddy bliss, but a quieter, deeper joy of knowing that nothing--not circumstances, not self-doubt--will keep this couple apart for long. Like Jack and Sally, they're "simply meant to be." :)
Kind'a sorry it's over. Thanks for writing it. I'll look for more by you in the future. Jennifer M
Author's Response: I read that the test of a good story is when you dread the last chapter because there won't be anymore and you'll miss reading the story. Thank you for the compliments! I've got a Scorpius and Rose fic that should be posting soon-ish. I think it's a unique plot and take on them. Anyway, it's always fun to write Slytherins. ;)
it's been SOOOO long since i've been online...i had to re-read like 5 chapters. as always an ah-mazing chapter. though i do want to slap tonks over the head, and give snape a big hug. that lily thing was so sweet and sad and i little weird at the same time. and why doesn't everyone just go to Dumbledore? he's a genius remember? stupid fictional characters...
I stand amazed at your ability to live without internet. :D Thanks for wanting to give Snape a hug, although he'd hex you for it.
People don't go to Dumbledore for the same reason they don't go to parents or other authority figures when they're in trouble...they think they won't understand or believe them or that they'll disaprove or not help.
I love your stories! They help me create a happy little world where my favorite characters aren't dead. :) I'm not super thrilled about the Snape/Tonks implications though... That relationship just seems really wrong to me. But aside from that I've enjoyed your stories more than any fanfic I've read. Keep them coming, and update more often. :)
Thank you, Cloie!
In this story and Moonlight and Shadow, Tonks--maybe because of her Black streak, maybe because she knows what it's like to be different, not one of the "in" crowd--sees Snape in a different light than some of the others. Although snarky, he isn't nasty and unfair, he's actually helpful in his calculating way. She'll find out he didn't do it all out of the goodness of his heart (he is Slytherin, :D), but Tonks won't be as crushed as Pomfrey, because she has absolutely no romantic feelings for him, they're just kinda/sorta wouldn't-ever-admit-or-send-Christmas-cards friends. (until the end of HBP, at least!)
Now, if you want to read a Snape/Tonks story to see that I do indeed know the difference between grudging friendship and building romance, my fic Sweet Anger is just the ticket.
Don't wait so long to update! J
Since the other half is written, I'm happy to answer "Yes, ma'am!" :D
i love it!!! i cant wait for more!!! =)
Author's Response: The new chapter just validated, so you have not just great timing to make my day, but no waiting! :)
