I don't know why the guard and the clerk thought they could sass Kingsley--even if they didn't know he was the Minister. And why Lucius thought he could pick a fight with Harry, et. al. I don't know either. You've got one more chapter to clean this up:D

Too bad Sirius couldn't get more of his sentence out. How awful to just toss a newborn around. Good thing Harry was there. The guys who came and grabbed Hermione and Sirius were obviously Death Eaters so I'm sure they didn't want to get Clarence Beeks identity out. Great chapter.

Where did the name Polly come from? Can they do paternity tests? I loved how you described Hermione's labor. I've been through labor myself and it can be unpleasant at times. You made it sound accurate but kind of funny at the same time. Great chapter.

I didn't think that Remus and Hermione would get The Kiss. I thought they'd be thrown into Azkaban which is bad enough I guess. I don't envy Sirius' responsibilities. Great chapter.

Sirius must have been desperate to all of a sudden ask about Clarence Beeks. This doesn't sound like a very good relationship. I don't know if I would trust Lucius very far but I guess it's Sirius' only hope right now. Great chapter.

I can see how Hermione might even be confused about her situation--with her missing Remus when he went to the attic to transform and sleeping in the same room with him at night. Is the Ministry so Big Brotherish that Sirius and Hermione can't slip away to a hotel or somewhere private to get a shag in? It was so sad when Remus was named as the father of Hermione's baby--that had to be so hard for Sirius. Great chapter.

Isn't their house warded or "locked" some way at night? I can see Remus and Hermione having a bedroom together for appearances but why can't Hermione sleep with Sirius? Her marriage to Remus is a sham anyway. But this story's good enough that I'm willing to buy what you're selling, knowing it will be good in the end. Great chapter.

Well, call me an old hippie but I don't see any problem, morally, ethically, or otherwise. She can marry Remus in name and still live with Sirius as if he were her husband. The Ministry can't actually regulate what goes on behind bedroom doors can it?

Yes, why couldn't someone else tell Sirius. I wish it didn't have to happen in such a hurry. Why can't they go "underground" as we used to say and hide out. You'd think the Order would have safe houses and things like that. Great chapter.

No, I did not see that coming. I guess I have no imagination:D I thought briefly about Remus and Tonks, wondering if they were both purebloods. Although, the loophole could be that Hermione is pregnant right here and now so wouldn't that count as a child--it's not that they'd start trying to start a family right now. I wonder what Sirius will say about this.
