What an incredibly poignant and beautiful story. You don't see many stories about the friendships Lily (or any other Muggleborn student, for that matter) had before Hogwarts, and how her going away affected these relationships, but it's a very interesting subject to consider... and what you've written is sadly plausible.
I especially like the last line of the fic. It kind of goes to show that even something so magical and wonderful as becoming a witch has its cost, and I do think at some point Lily might have pondered if it was worth it.
I wish you had written a little more about why she didn't continue her friendship with Brent after she left, because it seemed like you skimmed over that pretty quickly in comparison to the rest of the fic.
But overall it's very good, very well written, and thanks for making me think.
Author's Response: Thank you! I didn't put too much about her friendship's end because it was one of those things that life sort of controls. She meant to explain herself, why she didn't say goodbye, but never did and it soon became too late. She's a brave girl, but sometimes it's easier to move on than to face friends and the past. Thanks again!!
I eally like this. It's so different, so sweet. I like how you tied in her old life to Hogwarts. What she gave up. Most fics don't do tthat. They just have them leave. I really liked it.

Aw, Keri, this was an absolutely beautiful story, as I've already said. I absolutely adore (the name and him) Brett and his character, and Lily's emotions over her long lost friend was priceless and very affective to the readers. I really enjoyed this one shot, and it's going on my favourites. Wherever did you get the idea? I'm glad to see that someone incorporated someone's 'home' friends after Hogwarts. Very touching--- 11/10.

This story gave me the chills. It was so incrediblely moving and sad that it really reminded me about how there is more to charectors then what meets the eye. You are an amazing writer and I love all of your storys. You should write your own book someday, I would definately read it as would many others.
