I really like this, but I have to say it's a little confusing. I read it twice, and I think I understand it now, but I'm still not entirely positive. If I understand correctly, however, you have a really interesting and original idea here, and a darker portrayal of Regulus than one usually sees. I also really like your style of writing - you have some really striking descriptions, and it flows well too (if only I were sure about the chronology!). Anyway, good job.

I know it gets rather confusing, maybe I should have portrayed the event clearer, since I'm giving a completely different perspective compared to the usual one. About the exact year that they die: I didn't check Lexicon but I chose 1980 because in the numbers of Arithmancy, the total of the year, 9, symbolizes what I thought would represent Regulus and Orion in a way.
