Chapter: Epilogue: The Consequences of Our Decisions

Augh!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it! Teehee! Snape/Petunia, Snape/Lily, it was all so good! I found it so funny how some parts made so much sense with the cannon stories! I wish, still, that Snape had gotten Lily. But hey, he got Hermione in your story! As long as he lives, im happy! :)
Awesome job!!!!!!'

Chapter: Epilogue: The Consequences of Our Decisions

Wow--I'm trying (unsuccessfully) not to cry. I think this is way more poignant and heartbreaking than anything JKR ever thought of. We're left wondering if Dudley was Peter Pettigrew's child. My heart breaks for all of these victims of Tom Riddle's philosophies. This is brilliant and very believeable. Everything, again, was horrible yet wonderful. I could go on and on about how good this was but I will have to be happy to merely say this was an excellent story. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I'll see you next time and very soon.

Chapter: Chapter 7: Summer After Seventh Year

Sometimes I read at work. There are times when I feel that a chapter might make me too emotional and I'll save that story for home when I can focus on it. There are times too when I feel something is so well written that I wait so I can focus. This was one of those chapters that met both of my requirements. It was absolutely amazing. I'm speechless. I feel so sad for Severus. I always have. He made one wrong decision and spent the rest of his life--even gave his life--making up for it. I really wish Severus and Harry could've talked more rather than Harry just viewing memories. Of all the characters JKR killed off I wish she had let Severus live. This was a beautiful and horrible chapter. It was excellent. I wish I could say more but, again, I am close to speechless.

Chapter: Chapter 6: Summer After Sixth Year, Part 2

Well, that chapter was pretty amazing and surprising. I feel so sad for all of the participants in this charade. There's Lily who's obviously carrying the torch for Severus but can't let him know. James manipulated Petunia but is now pursuing Lily who he's always been interested in. I'm not sure why Petunia has this plan going on with Severus--except to make both James and Lily mad. I chuckled when she met Vernon on the street. You have to wonder if this affects how Vernon treats her later. Severus seems to be along for the ride--whatever ride there is. I think Lily broke his heart and I'm not sure if he has any hope of a future with her. I love that Severus is standing around looking dark and dangerous--like a bad, broody boy. He does seem to have some mysterious attraction to Petunia. Petunia is so pathetic as she sits there wearing the ring that Severus gave to Lily. The only thing that makes me happy is thinking ahead to your future storylines where Severus ends up being a war hero and happy with Hermione in the end. Great chapter.

Chapter: Chapter 6: Summer After Sixth Year, Part 1

All I can say is "Good for you Severus." He is so right not to trust Lily. I'm sitting here going "Lily what is wrong with you." This is interesting to me because I don't think most authors have characterized Lily in this sort of light. It's almost always been like she's "St. Lily." Here she seems to be leading Severus on. How dare she instill hope in him again. She threw his ring away and now she's talking about a future with him. I'm sorry, but right now I don't think she's good enough for him. And I'm sad to think he's wasted most of his life being in love with her. (Although according to your story line he does find happiness later on.) Excellent job here.

Chapter: Chapter Five: Summer After Fifth Year

This was such a sad chapter. It was a situation where they were damned if they did and damned if they didn’t. It seemed like Severus was, for lack of a better word, mean to Lily. I got the feeling that he was ashamed to be seen with her. I didn’t get that feeling from her though. I think she would’ve gone to the dances with him. I think Severus was living in an alternate universe. He had plans for them to be together, he daydreamed about it, he dreamed about it at night but they had to get through the next two years to be together. It didn’t matter to him what happened in that time. He just forgot to tell Lily about the plan. I’m still annoyed with James for manipulating Petunia. I think even his friends didn’t like what he was doing. I’m wondering if you’ll do more with Vernon. Petunia will be settling for second best with him. I felt bad when Lily refused Severus’ ring but again, he hadn’t talked to her about any of that. Will you give Severus a happy future? I guess you have if you follow your other story lines. Wonderful chapter. Sad, but wonderful. I’m sorry, but sometimes I read at work and then our internet cuts out—that’s been happening lately—so I have to wait until I get home to file reviews and sometimes to read.

Chapter: Chapter 4: Summer After Fourth Year

Wow--that was a very powerful chapter. I'm going to have to look at the timeline. Did you write this before DH? I'm trying to remember when I first realized that Severus loved Lily. Don't worry--I'll figure that out:D You've described Petunia to be so vulnerable, yet so sensible and almost hard about some things. I liked the way she stepped up to Tobias, kind of pushing him out there to talk to Severus. I hated Tobias for downgrading the wizard binding ceremony to the point where it meant he and Eileen weren't married--therefore there was no need for divorce and it was OK for him to marry someone else and have a bunch of children with her. I think he was threatened by his wife's and Severus' magic rather than embracing it and loving them for it. Jealousy combined with fear can be dangerous. I also hate James for using Petunia and for dragging the rest of the Marauders in on the game. That is really low--using Petunia's loneliness and low self-esteem to get to Lily. I don't know how you're going to turn him around in Lily's eyes. The night he and Lily spent together was almost erotic although nothing sexual happened. Again, this was an awesome and powerful chapter. I can't say enough about it.

Chapter: Chapter 3: Summer After Third Year

It was interesting how Severus destroyed the kingdom--that he saw Lily's and Petunia's behavior as a betrayal. I've done a lot of sewing in my life and I felt most sad about the flag being sullied. I know how much work went into it. I also find it interesting that Petunia seems so fond of Severus. This story is such an interesting interpretation of Lily's relationship with Severus. Great chapter.

Chapter: Chapter 2: Summer After Second Year

You really have to feel bad for the poor little boy with nothing to wear to lunch with his friends' family. I'm assuming that Severus' mother transfigured new clothes for him. Great chapter.

Chapter: Chapter 1: Summer After First Year

That was very interesting and unusual but I think I'll like it. I try to be open minded and as long as a story is well written I'll give it a try even though it doesn't follow canon. Great chapter.

Chapter: Epilogue: The Consequences of Our Decisions

I love it when people do what I want them to before I ask as per my previous request for a sequel. I know your new story isn't really a sequel, necessarily, but it's a tragedy righted story and that was my request. *sigh* whew.

Note: the video at the youtube link you have at the end is no longer there. It's been removed for "terms violations" which means it will probably be back up in a few weeks. I just thought you might want to know, not that you can really do anything about it.

I should really turn the sad music off. But I'm not sure it'll help that much. They're so TRAGIC. They could be slightly ridiculous, no girl has the attention of every male in a school that size, and not guy is the only one with the ability to really turn girls on even though he isn't very good looking. But for some reason you keep them from being ridiculous. I'm not sure how that is, but good work.

Oh no, it's getting sadder. You're going to have to write a sequel to cheer me up ;) it's your duty.

I believe this is the third story of yours that I've read now, and I'm eager to read your DH-compliant Snape story, as well. (I am working on my own "Snape deserves a happy(er) ending" story.) I like your style, and your insight into the history of Lily and Severus was uncanny. I bet you fainted when you read DH.

I'm a published author, and I've seen plenty bad writing, but yours shines. Keep it up!

This story is absolutely amazing, I actually burst into tears. I hope you write again soon, I love all your other fics as well. I can't believe you wrote so much of it pre-DH, and I absolutely cannot wait for your next fic.
