i'm confused...

Author's Response: Did you work out that this story is set in the year 2025? It has been ousted by the epilogue to DH, but it was fun for several years before then.

Ohhhh. I read it again and now I get it! Very good job! I wasn't here at Mugglenet during the shipping wars, but I can tell that they were big. I still find it really funny, despite DH. {BeccA}

Author's Response: Dear Becca, Thank you! And the shipping wars weren't just at Mugglenet. They were everywhere, and not always as polite as the Mugglenet moderators forced them to be here. Some posters took it as a personal insult that other people disagreed about what "should" happen to Hermione, and they were absolutely vicious to each other. Get a grip, people! The cyber-posters whom you insulted were real human beings with real feelings, but Harry, Ron and Hermione are FICTITIOUS! Several H/Hr shippers were even angry that I had "tricked" them into reading my story with "false advertising", while R/Hr shippers were angry with the Mugglenet mods for publishing it. I'm glad you have better sense than those people. Best wishes, GhV

Interesting... how did Harry end up looking like Hermione? And then Muggleborn Dudley Polkiss... isn't that, like, Dudley dursley and Piers Polkiss? And Miss Potter? Is Harry Mr Granger? Justin Macmillan and Frances Longbottom? I don't really get it, but I like it~ {BeccA}

Author's Response: Dear Ringobeatlesfan4, Did you work out that this story is set in the year 2025? Harry looks like Hermione because he's her son, and Piers Polkiss also named his son after his best friend. I wrote it in 2003 to poke fun at people who were taking the shipping wars too seriously, but of course it hasn't been so funny since "Deathly Hallows" was published. Thanks for reviewing, GhV

This was quite confusing at first, is Harry Ron's son and Hermione Harry's daughter? It was very well written, but I still don't understand Ron's behaviour, I mean it hasn't anything to do with him really, he was very aptly names as his uncle would no doubt agree.

Author's Response: Yes, Harry is the son of Ron and Hermione, and Hermione is the daughter of Harry and Ginny. (You can see that this story has been well and truly scuppered by DH.) Ron Potter, in addition to being Hermione's brother, is Harry Weasley's best friend, and therefore jealous about being dumped in favour of his sister. You may have to read it twice to pick up all the clues! Thanks for reading, GhV

that was really funny. i suspected something was weird when I read that Harry had bushy hair.

Author's Response: I'm glad I put a laugh in your day so long after this story has passed its shelf life. Thanks for reviewing! GhV

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! I really don't ove H/Hr ships so I was unconvinced in the beginning- because no strong argument backed up the relationship bu the names thing was just hilarious Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Author's Response: Thanks, Meg! I think this story has passed its shelf life, given the epilogue of DH, but I've certainly had fun with it over the years. Regards, GhV

LOL! I'm a bit of a vehement anti-Harmony person, but since your other fics are so good, I decided to give this one a try, and I was not disappointed! I love how you included some of the clichés that we all love to hate, but the ending was so unexpected an wonderfully redeeming! :) This fic was pretty hilarious, actually!

Author's Response: Dear V, This story has passed its shelf-life, given the epilogue of DH, but I'm glad you were able to suspend that foreknowledge and laugh anyway. I'm afraid I was roaring with laughter when I wrote it - laughing at all those people who took the Shipping Wars SO seriously that they would sacrifice their RL friends for fictitious characters. Thanks for reviewing, GhV

Ha!! Oh that was so cute. I don't really care either way--my ships tend to involve the older generation (closer to my own age, admittedly), so I wasn't fussed. But you had me going--even when Snape said "your father and grandfather" I thought: Huh? How would he have known James Potter's father? LOL. Very cute story. And yeah, the first cousin thing is a bit squeamish over here, but it was still cute and funny.

Author's Response: Thanks, Georgiana - I'm glad to have put a smile in your day. GhV

Omg. At first when I saw all those mistakes I thought they were accidental but now...wow.

I also liked the way you showed all the cousins hooking up.=Sammy

Author's Response: Thanks for taking the trouble to review. The story is outdated now, but I'm glad I put a smile in your day. GhV

it was roll-your-eyes funny. still, i think i missed something.

ah well. thanks for the read.

Author's Response: Dear Staggered Incite, If you laughed, then I don't think you missed anything. Obviously, I wrote this pre-DH (in fact, back in 2003, when the shipping wars were at their height), so I think the tale has now passed its shelf-life. But if you worked out that it was set in the year 2025, you laughed for the right reasons. I'm glad I put a smile in your day! GhV

Author's Response: Thanks, bij. I'm glad I gave you a laugh! Regards, GhV

At first I was so confused, cause it said that Hermione had BLACK hair, and I was all like ''WTF? Did she dye it or something?'' Then, as i read on, I finally got it. :P
I personally, find that even though maybe the funny part may not jump out at you, it's still has good subtle humor to it. Hope that makes sense...?
Good story either way though, ^_^

Author's Response: Thanks, Fantasystar. I'm glad I gave you a smile. And the black hair was only one of the clues! Thanks for taking time to review. GhV

What!? I am soooo confused!

Author's Response: Did you work out that this story is set in the year 2025?

Author's Response: Thanks, DBF! I'm glad you cracked the code eventually. I'm sure I shall keep writing. Regards, GhV

This is halariuos! I had to read some reviews to get it, but once I did... I am now going to g read some more off your fics just because of this. How on earth did you come up with the plot. I am in awe..

Author's Response: Dear finiiii, This story was inspired by the thought that some people were taking the shipping wars way too seriously, so I would lead them up the garden path with an author-fools-reader type of story. Some of my other stories are less frivolous. Thanks for reviewing, GhV

Oh, hahaha. I finnally get it. I had to read some of the reviews but I eventually got it. You are brilliant to have thought of this. Where did you get the inspiration?

Author's Response: Dear FF, I'm glad I put a laugh in your day. I wrote this in 2003, when the shipping wars were at their height, and I wrote it because I felt some people were taking the shipping wars a little too seriously. Lighten up, people - these are just fictitious characters! Thanks for reviewing, GhV

That's a cool story. The only thing is that it is not really a humor fic.

Author's Response: You're right, it was somewhat difficult to categorise. It would have destroyed the joke if I had written "author fools reader" in the summary. Thanks for reviewing, GhV

Hah! At first, I was like...huwaa? But then I read some of the reviews and I read it again and YOU ARE BRILLIANT! Serves me right for skimming sections. Very clever, original...I loved it.

Author's Response: Thanks, Ladykaty! I'm glad you found the clues eventually. Keep laughing, GhV

Okay let me see if I have this right...

Harry Potter+Ginny Weasley had Hermione Potter and Ron Potter as kids.

Hermione Granger+Ron Weasley had Harry Weasley as a son...so HW is HrP cousin.

Right? It took a while for me to get.

Author's Response: Right! Thank you for reviewing. GhV

This is much too confusing. I couldn't figure out who the people were! Next time, write something more simple please.

Author's Response: Well, it's quite simple if you begin with the premise that Harry Potter is now 45 years old and Minister for Magic... GhV
