Love the story. So good
Author's Response: Hope it's never too late to say thank you. :)
I must say, I've never been much of a Sev/Tonks but it always just seemed weird for Severus to have a lover, but Eris warmed me up to that idea so I guess Tonks was only a short leap away!
It's strange, because although I've always really liked Tonks she always seemed a bit dotty to me--though in a way quite different than old Loony Lovegood's. Still, her spiky hair, in my head, never did much to compliment a rounder face, and she was never--s'excusez-moi--overly pretty, so how she can get Rosier and Snape and Remus--really, how she can have all these men all over her, is a mystery. But then, Rosier is a power-tripping fool, Snape's no beauty, and Remus, well, in the way of really thin people with their notsothin companions, true love is there for all, and can make anyone seem beautiful. (Not that either of them aren't quite thin. I was just comparing her distinct oddness of spiky hair ((at least the style I was imagining)) and Remus's good looks--although, forgive me, he is streaked with gray, so it's a toss-up)
It's true! People say flattery will get you nowhere, but they're just hiding what big eyes and a desperately apologetic face can do!
OHMYGOD. A poem! That's SO cute! My friend's boyfriend wrote her a poem in iambic pentameter with words like "thee" and "thou," and even though it made little to no sense, it was very sweet. He should definitely write the poem!
Oh. Flowers are pretty, too.
I'm still slightly disturbed of the idea of Sev with anyone but Eris, and Tonks with Severus Snape. But I can deal for a story as sweet as this!
In another dimension of the Potterverse, Severus is with Eris, in this (very different) one, he's with Tonks. She's got a heart shaped face like Jenifer Love Hewitt, Ashley Judd, Claudia Schiffer, Lucy Lawless, Michelle Pfeifer, Naomi Campbell (to name a few) so if you look at it that way--heart shaped can be hot, lol--her looks were just as attractive as her personality.
Men can still look good with gray streaks in their hair. Women are better off with different colored highlights.
Thanks for reading even while disturbed! ;)
You know, there's something about these Severus/Tonks stories--they're kind of like a bittersweet fling. There's love that's very sweet and romantic but you know it's not going to last. You've got to enjoy it while you can. All too soon they'll be gone. Great chapter.
The doomed love romance? Like those films where one of them has a terminal illness, or chooses to stay with the husband and kids for duty's sake instead of leaving Madison County. :) I'll admit I'm the ever after romantic myself, and cry buckets when I can't give it to characters.
Ugh! I hate being wrong! I don't think many could pull off Severus and Tonks, but you surprise me. Yet again, phenominal--I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong.
Author's Response: I let the mods worry over spelling, lol. I just care about style and content! I love yours! :D
Great Job! I'm surprising myself, but I'm beginning to like this pairing. I never really think of Tonks with anyone seriously other than Remus, but this has given me something to think about.
I can't wait to read the next story!
Author's Response: Remus is her one true love, in any dimension of the Potterverse, but I think that in the right circumstances, she and Snape would've been a good match--even if they weren't meant to be a forever one.
I'm home sick, and my family abandoned me to watch football. I was only going to read Ch 15 of "For Bitter or for Worse," but I got so caught up in your writing I can't stop reading! Your writing is beautiful!
Author's Response: Poor sweetie, abandoned for football! I'm glad you're reading to distract from your suffering! ^_^
I'm impressed- Snape amnd Tonks seem so wrong... and yet, in this fic, they were really wonderful. I suppose its your writing- youre really good!!!
Author's Response: I'm Remus and Tonks, one true pairing, all the way, but in a different universe, where she hasn't met Remus yet, I think she has enough Black in her that it could work. :D Thank you!
Somehow you can always make me like ships I never would have thought of ^_^
Author's Response: Thank you for the wonderful compliment! :)
awww....mellow. less firey than r/t. I like it, tho it is quite, swift.
Author's Response: No angst factor, heh. She doesn't have an ex who left her with emotional baggage and he isn't the 'moral high road' type to butt heads with her Slytherin side and cause conflict, so they're (at least for now! :D) rubbing each other the right way. ^_~
i mean honestly, who has enough time for an epic quest these days?
Author's Response: Can't you just hear Tonks say to herself, 'But he did think about it!' :D I'm convinced Jack Sparrow had a Black in his family tree, LOL.
Ugh... I see now that this is actually complete. I really ought to pay more attention! All the same, now you have two reviews for the price of one. Bargain. :P
Author's Response: Two for the price of one, what a bargain! *rubs hands together* Feel free to let your attention wander anytime, hee.
You started a new Severus story and didn't point me in the right direction. Shame on you, Kerichi! :D Have to say, I've only read the first chapter, and I'm loving it, despite the weirdness that is Snape/Tonks. Glad to see that you sorted out the pesky P of professor/Professor and that Snape is still Hades! Yayness! :D
Author's Response: I'm not sure I have sorted it out, since in canon Jo never mentions professors unless it's a title, Professor Snape. :D I'm winging it.
Snape will *always* be Hades!
I usually dont like stories in the viewpoint of Snape. But once again, you've won me over.
Author's Response: You've made me a very happy writer, saying that! :)
I like how you gave one side of the story from Tonks' point of view, then another part, later on, from Snape's. Great idea!
Author's Response: Merci, mademoiselle! Maybe if I get inspired for a third story, I'll use both povs. :D
How do you do it? You take ships that would normally freak me out and make them beleivable, enjoyable and reasonably in character. You did it with Draco/Ginny and now with Snape/Tonks.
Good work, it was a fun read.
Author's Response: If you have fun, I have fun, so thank you for the compliment! I think if a pairing isn't outside the realm of possibility, if you find the right circumstances in which to bring them together, they'll be right for each other. Maybe not in any other dimension of the Potterverse...lol....
I enjoyed reading this story, and the one that comes before it. I love your portrayal of Tonks, she's cool (I'm also reading Moonlight and Shadow) and believable.
While infrequent, the interactions between Snape and Tonks mentioned in the books has always made me wonder if there was something 'there' at some point. Whatever that 'something' could've been I have no idea, but I like reading about my two favorite characters in the same story.
Author's Response: In the R/T series, the something 'there' is her grudging awareness that Snape has a sexy voice...and his reluctant amusement over it. They'll develop a friendship of sorts (snarky vs. smart mouthed) in the HBP story, but this will be the only dimension in which never-admitted admiration turns into a love affair.
Thank you for loving Tonks and enjoying the story! :)
Great follow on! I'm not saying that the ship doesn't freak me out, cause it does, but it's really well written and you almost had me convinced...(mentally shakes herself)lol.
Author's Response: Just think of it as happening in an alternate dimension. Instead of Evan, Severus! :D
wonderfully written as always.
Author's Response: Thank you very, very much! ^_^
Wow, as much as I believe that Tonks belongs with Remus. . . this story is excellent! You write with an amazing depth of detail... it's almost bewitching!
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! Did you read the first story? I hope you found it equally bewitching! :)
