oh dear peters going baaaad!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! this is by far the most exciting story I've ever read, including the books, you made me laugh, an cry like a baby. It was so beautiful from the beggining of their frienship, to the discovery of Remus's Licanthropy, to the well deserved date, an the muggle wedding, and the traitor, and the epilogue........................ it was al so so beatiful.
I'm not much of a writer but this is actually very similar to what I had picture in my head about that particular era, is nice to see it in writing, even in the little incongruences whit the books. still GREAT JOB MAN !!!!!!!!
Author's Response: Wow, thanks! I'm glad you liked it! I had so much fun writing it that I really wanted people to react in all those ways to the different things that happened. I tried to keep it as much in line with canon as possible. Thanks a lot for reading!
WOW!i just finished reading your story for the second time.and it still amazed me!you took your time and your effort showed.the way you explained so many happenings and why they happened was fantastic.it gave a clear reason why certain things happened in the books.there were times when i laughed at james and sirius, and i kept a box of tissues close at hand for those moments that the tears flowed!keep up the good work in all future stories.this one is worthy of publishing!
Author's Response: You read this twice? That's really cool! I tried to do a lot of explanation for why things happened and wanted to still make it seem interesting, so I'm glad you reacted to it like that. Thanks so much for reading!
finally a good story about the marauders :)
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad you think so!
omgggggggggg, wow. is this whole story centered mostly on remus. i hope not. but, that description of remus's transformation was incredible!!!!!
Author's Response: I'm a big Remus fan, so a lot of it is centered around him, but no, it does focus on all of the Marauders. Glad you liked the description of his transformation. Thanks for reading!
OMG I loved that!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Oh my god - this is definitely one of the best - if no the best - fanfictions for harry potter i have ever read, you are an amazing writer! keep writing!
Author's Response: Wow! That's awesome you say it's your favorite :) Thanks so much for reading!
really great job... i loved reading it.... some of the things sirius said actually made me laugh out loud... thanks :)
Author's Response: That's good to know :) Thanks for reading!
I loved this story. It was my favorite fanfiction I ever read. I cried for Remus. At his parents funeral, he was always an adult, but now he needed to be a kid and need his parents. I was also very sad for Sirius, who probably felt terrible for accusing Remus. This story was amazing. Remus wasn't always my favorite character, but now he is. There was just so much to him that I never thought about.
Author's Response: Aww, that's awesome this is your favorite! That was a hard chapter to write (but it was also one of my favorites). You got it right there that he was a child then and just wanted his parents. Remus has always been my favorite, so this did largely involve him and I'm glad it made it think more about him! Thanks for reading!
Woooow! That was an amazing fan fiction. I really admire you for finishing it, instead of getting bored and quitting like so many other people do. I can't even believe I actually cried at the end of this! SUPER good job(:
Author's Response: I always feel bad when someone says they cried at the end, but it was the intention, so that's awesome. Thanks so much for reading!! Glad you liked it!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Poor Remus. I think you're right. He's always had to be a grown up. After a while you do ask what good crying ever did. Some people just aren't the crying type either. Noiw Peter on the other hand is probably a whiny baby. If his mother knew how he really was she'd slap him. That thought makes me feel good:D Great chapter.
Author's Response: Remus really has always been a grown up. One of the main points about his character throughout the whole story was that he never once cried and it shows just how much he had to grow up through his life that it took something like the death of his parents to finally break him. Maggie Pettigrew would slap him. Unfortunately she never knew what scum her son was. Thanks for reading!
I really liked how you explained how Harry got his name. I can only shake my head over Peter. He must not have any emotions whatsoever. It seems he had next to no reaction to Remus' parents dying. I'll bet he ran off in a hurry to go blab to Voldemort. Great chapter.
Author's Response: The explanation for Harry's name was actually what made me write this in the first place. I've always seen stories where James and Lily name him after one of their parents (plausible, of course, but done so many times) or where the name is just randomly come up with. Peter actually did go run off to blab to Voldemort. Thanks for reading!
That was scary. Sirius and Remus already had to move once and the Death Eaters are getting close again. Of all times for the other three to trust Peter or think he's harmless. I guess I'm still wondering why Severus doesn't know what's going on with Peter. But, then, does anyone really trust Severus? Great chapter.
Author's Response: This chapter, and the next two, are the chapters that made me write this whole thing. The Death Eaters are getting close, but you'll see some changes in their living situations that may not directly result from the Death Eaters attacking Remus. I know... they shouldn't trust Peter, but they don't know any better. I'm still standing by my theory that not all the Death Eaters knew each other. Definitely by the time Sirius gets to Azkaban they're all aware Peter was one of them (since Sirius hears them all muttering terrible things about Peter). I don't think anyone would trust Snape if he did tell them Peter was a double agent. Thanks for reading!
I don't care what Peter thinks about himself. I still think he's an idiot. Geez, he got into the Death Eaters just like he got into the Order. He was wishy-washy and didn't speak up even though he didn't want to do what he was being hooked into. Clearly, he wasn't that excited about being a Death Eater either but he could'nt get out of it. I stand by my original verdict--Peter's a dumb ass. Great chapter.
Author's Response: I agree. He is an idiot. He doesn't know how to speak up for himself and will just go wherever he thinks he'll get power. He wasn't thrilled about being a Death Eater, but I won't say anything about how his outlook on that may or may not change. Thanks for reading!
Wow--I'm sure everyone was shocked to see Snape. You'd think with Snape so heavily involved with the Death Eaters that he'd know Peter was getting involved. Although, I suppose Peter is keeping a very low profile. Deep down he probably knows what he's doing is wrong. Do you ever wonder what might have happened if no one had heard Trelawney's prophecy? Great chapter.
Author's Response: That was something I wondered about when I was writing this. But I don't think, at the time, all the Death Eaters knew each other. If you look in Goblet of Fire, Karkaroff was only able to name a few of the Death Eaters. And Peter probably would keep a low profile considering what he's doing. Hmm, that's a good question. James and Lily would definitely still be alive, but they'd have no idea how to kill Voldemort. Thanks for reading!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks!
I was sure James and Lily were goners this time. I would've thought the same thing they did--that it was the Prewetts at the door, especially since it was Sirius' and Remus' flat. Ironic that the Death Eaters were talking to Peter because they thought he was the weak one. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Yeah they definitely looked like goners, but it's far too early for them to die! Yeah you can't really blame them for thinking it was the Prewitt's. I would've thought the same thing as well. The Death Eaters were speaking to Peter for that reason because they thought that he would be the most easy to manipulate. Thanks for reading!
That was sad but it wasn't overly sad. I think there's a difference when someone's old and dies from natural causes and when someone dies suddenly. It's too bad the Potters didn't get to meet their grandchild. It's hard to believe that James and Lily will join them before too long. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Yeah I think there's definitely a difference. James just never experienced anything like that before so it hit him hard. It is too bad they won't get to meet him and that the James and Lily will be with them soon enough, but so the story goes... Thanks for reading!
