I gotta say I like the plot development so far. Great story, I'm fully intrigued!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm really glad you like it!
This was a very feel-good chapter. I liked it. :) I'm glad he was able to get his wedding ring back, and I hope that everything with Brian will be sorted out soon. :D
Author's Response: Thank you! Something had to go right after last chapter, didn't it? I'm really glad you enjoyed the feel-goodness of this chapter. We'll get back to Brian fairly soon, but not in the next chapter.
aww!! that is such a sweet present! I can't wait to see how Ginny reacts to that.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're looking forward to it!
Can we guess that this was Dumbledore's Penseive, and the estate sale was when Aberforth died? :)
Nice chapter, Nuw--but I'm not sure that using Legilimecy on unsuspecting people doesn't count as "strong-arm tactics". He is invading their minds, after all.
Author's Response: Thanks, Igo. You can assume whatever you want about the origin of Harry's Pensieve--I doubt I'll write any more about where it came from.
I want you to know that I really agonized over how to have Harry go about this. The "strong-arm tactics" I mentioned in this chapter refer to my original plan, which had Harry barging into Mr. Jarvis's house and using magic to scare him into allowing Harry to take a copy of his memory (and then Obliviating him afterward). After I wrote it, I could see that it just wasn't Harry and had to be scrapped. Anyway, compared to that, Harry's rather subtle use of Legilimency seems a lot less like a strong-arm tactic. That's my justification, anyway. You are, of course, free to disagree.
nice chapter.. but it seems odd that harry's gift TO ginny is HIS wedding ring...unless im not thinking outside the box enough, and they're guna GET MARRIED AGAIN??? [hinthint] tht'd be awesomeee
Author's Response: Yeah, it is a bit odd. Harry realizes that, but he's got a plan anyway -- he is a bit odd himself, you know. ;-) You'll see what he's planning in the next chapter.
whoa....hah. dracos hot.
Author's Response: Erm... okay. Glad you think so. I'm not touching that one. ;-)
Ooooh! I can't wait for the Harry/Ginny fluffiness I can feel in the air!!!! :D Thanks for updating! I've been really sucked into this story and can't wait to see how everything turns out! I hope you update again soon!
Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying the story! The next chapter will cover Christmas day; I hope you like it. Thanks for reviewing! :-)
Wow! A lot happened in this chapter and I’m so glad that Harry is finally doing something for Ginny. She really deserves it for being so patient with him. I loved the scene with Harry and Lily, it was wonderful. But what’s up with Brian? They were doing so good… Oh yeah I almost forgot, I absolutely loved the part where Harry hugged Ginny at the station!!! (I had a huge grin plastered on my face!) Yay!! He found the ring! But what exactly is he going to do with it? Does this mean he’s finally going to embrace his feeling for her?? I sure do hope so! I’m really excited about the next chapter! Do you think…perhaps…I dunno…you can at least give us the title of the next one? If you already have it that is… Great chapter Nuw! I see what you’re doing…a little fluff to keep us waiting with bated breath for the next one, huh? Well it worked!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really glad you're happy about him finding the ring. The scene with Lily just sort of happened during a rewrite of the chapter, and I'm glad you enjoyed it; we haven't seen as much of her lately, so it was nice to be able to work her in. Oh, and I'm glad you liked the hug at the station; tee hee! You'll find out Harry's plan for the ring in the next chapter. And since you asked for the title, I went and named it just a minute ago just so I could give you an answer. It will be called "Gifts and Memories."
Another great chapter..I'm glad that he's finally trying to put his marriage and family back together...
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, it took a pretty big shock to get him in the right mindset, but now that he's thinking about it....
awwwwww that was o sweet what Harry did. wuts up with Brian? love this chapter update soon
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. We'll get to Brian in a bit, but probably not in the next chapter.
That was so sweet! For some reason I think the ring was overpayed in the first purchase, let alone the second, but it's really worth it, isn't it?
I love Harry's tenacity.
Update soon, please!
Author's Response: Thank you! Honestly, I'm no jewelry expert, and at this point I can't remember how much my own wedding band cost. I just used a price I found on a jeweler's website (which means you're right: the price was definitely inflated). Anyhow, you caught the point of it, which was that the price didn't matter as long as he got the ring back. I'm really glad you liked the chapter. :-)
I think it's really sweet that Harry went through all that to find his wedding ring. I think Ginny would be very touched. I wonder what is up with Brian. Good chapter. Looking forward to Ginny's reaction to the ring.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm really glad you liked the wedding ring bit. We'll get back to Brian's issues, but probably not in the next chapter.
Aw, he got his wedding ring! So what's he gonna do? Make himself fall in love with Ginny all over again? That would be nice, but then, when he asked her to marry him again, she'd say no, and a whole lot of nonsense would happen before she finally said yes in the end...10!~
Author's Response: Glad you found it Awww-inspiring (terrible joke, I know). As for what Harry's going to do... well, that's what the next chapter's for, right? ;-)
As I know how much trouble you were having with this chapter, let me tell you it turned out beautifully. I actually said AWWWW really loud at the end. Very well done.
Author's Response: Thanks, Rivah! I'm really glad it turned out well. :-)
please, please update as soon as you can..i really and dying to read the rest of this story. I find it highly orginal and very refreshing...and i think i might just be becoming addicted..but total dependency will only come when i have a little bit more of the drug..lol..
Author's Response: lol! Thanks; I really appreciate it. I promise I'll update just as soon as I possibly can. I had the next chapter written, but Harry really wasn't acting right, and I ended up having to scrap a decent-sized portion of it. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish the rewrite soon.
sorry it took me forever to review .... computer problems... can't wait for the chapter...
Author's Response: Not a problem; I'm glad to hear from you. The next chapter's giving me some trouble (Harry needs to be more mature, but he's being a little stubborn about it). I'll get it up as soon as I can.
Oh my gosh!! I love you Nuw!!!!!!! The thing with Lily and Brian was amazingly perfect, reglardless of how freaked out I was!!! (lol, I know, I take stories too seriously, lol) And Malfoy??!!!! omg it was PERFECT!!!!!!! THAT is the future Draco Malfoy!!!!!!!!!!!! ooo yes you are THE BEST!!!!!!
I can't wait for Harry to stop being an idiot though...... lol..... *sigh* but all in good time I suppose......
keep up the AMAZING work, and now I'm off to finish Magical Myths. I literally screamed when I saw it was finished, and my sister came running to see if I was ok lol!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks, roXtar! I'm so glad you liked this chapter so much -- it's definitely a big one. Hope you like the ending of Magical Myths!
Well here’s another one, I never thought I would EVER say this but…I loved Draco in this chapter!! The Quidditch match was amazing and I’m loving the Constant Vigilance game. At first I was a little apprehensive about it, but it seems that it is bringing Brian and Harry together. I would like to see a chess game with Lily and Harry and see how they interact together, though. I was also near tears when the twins went missing (please note hardly any stories make me get emotional and the fact that this one did was awesome! I think I might have even been biting my nails and I never do that either!) I’m glad Harry decided it was time to grow up because it would have been really stupid of him to go looking for those kids. Its understandable, but it still would have been stupid. And yes, Ginny and Draco hit bellow the belt, but Harry had to hear it because it was true. As for Draco…I think you wrote him marvelously and I loved how he tricked his students just so that he could torture them and make his point at the same time. That was not only a very Slitherin thing to do but also a very Draco thing to do. Finally, the romantic in me hopes that the fact that Harry will be doing some growing up will bring him and Ginny together, at least a little bit. Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks very much for the wonderful review. Just for the record, I never thought I'd write anything that would paint Draco in a positive light, but here it is nevertheless. I'm really glad you enjoyed the chapter, and that it was able to tug at your heartstrings a little bit. :-)
awesome I had no idea that that Draco had that much respect for Harry
Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, he'd never let Harry know it of course -- his ego wouldn't allow that -- but he is at least mature enough to recognize when he's outclassed. Thanks for reviewing.
I never thought I would say this...but GO DRACO!!! I guess he has learned something, if only not to cross Harry.
I really try to avoid saying this...it's too cliche...but update soon. I know you have a real life, but from the number of reviews, you also have real fans.
Author's Response: Double! ;-)
