Chapter: One Last Battle

Wow, I really like this. It was powerful. The ending line was my favorite part.

Author's Response: Glad you thought the ending was powerful. As always, thanks for reviewing!

This was an enjoyable read. I liked the single words between each stanza. It was emotional and well though-out.

Author's Response: Thank you! ^_^ I'm glad you liked it.

Hello! Before I review, I'll tell you how to do the Photobucket thing! Do you have a photobucket account? I believe it is the same as tinypic.com...anyways. I'll tell you how to use tinypic.com, do you mind? I'm pretty certain they work the same way...

Anyway. 1) Save the pic to your computer. (Right click on it and click "Save Picture As...")

2) Go to tinypic.com (or photobucket).

3) Click on "Browse". Find your pic and open the file.

Onto the real review.

I've read this poem about five different times and never reviewed it. *guilty look* Sorry about that!

I love the little one line stanzas you have scattered throughout the poem. They enhance the image you give us, making the picture in my mind have greater clarity. Very clever. :-)

People all around
Battling for their lives.
Their cries pierce the air
Like knives.

The last line in that stanza seems too short. I'd rewrite the stanza, if I were you, to make it flow better and stuff.

Fires destroy the earth
And give a fiery glow.
The Death Eaters
Help them grow.

Here, too, the last line is too short. I'd maybe change it to: The Death Eaters / Diligently help them grow. But that is just me.

Curses from his wand
Rush toward Voldemort.
The man's evil howl
Is cut short.

*embarrassed look* Here, again. All you need to do is add another word to the last line, though.

Anyways! Besides my nitpicks, this poem was very thought-evoking and...chilling, at the last stanza. I just think some of the lines are too short, but that is just me - feel free to ignore my rambles! :-)

I love your poems, FYI. I think I shall favorite you... *grin*

(OMG, my name is in your Author's Page? Yay! *hugs*)

...*cough*

Oh, sorry for the length of this, too…

~Kate

Author's Response: Ok..... where to start... First of all, thanks for telling me how to add a banner. I’ve wanted to make my page *funner* (I know it’s not a word) but I didn’t know how to add pics, so yah... thanks! ^_^ Now... about my poem..... you are right about the stanzas.... some of the last lines are a little too short..... maybe I’ll edit it later when I’m inspired or something and the words just come to me because I don’t want to add just any words just because I want to make them longer. So again, thanks for your reviews.... they are soooo helpful!
