I really like this, I was hoping for a sequel to Breaking Point, but since I don't think you're going to that, this is nice. I always thought that Pettigrew was blackmailed into Voldemort's service, this fits in really well. Nice and original.
It's too bad the last person Elysia talked to before falling was the rat though...

Author's Response: Thanks Roxanne! I'm glad you liked it. And actually, since you mentioned it, ironically enough, I thought of an idea for a sequal to Breaking Point driving to school this morning. However, I'm not sure how far it will go because I wouldn't even think of starting it until A Different Sort of War is finished. But the idea is there! I make no promises, but you might see a sequal someday.

as ever brilliant, I really felt for Elysia, what she was going through and what a way to end! And poor Peter (now there's something I'd NEVER thought I'd say!!)...trying to help her then accidently causing her death and then voldermort, using the events for his own ends...truely fantastic!

Poor, Peter? I wasn't too impressed with him, actually. He shouldn't have went after her. She was in a terrible state and she hardly knew him. Instead, of trying to make her love him, he should have went for Sirius, who she was very close to. At that time, she would have been able to trust Sirius and leave with him. After all, he was the one who wanted to be there for her. Remember, he offered to raise her child as his own. Peter was being selfish and a lot of people paid for it.
But yes, I can see how you might feel sorry for him. He was trying to help, in his own way. And it was sad, what Voldemort did to him.

Wow. I never thought that Peter could have been almost black mailed into joining Voldemort. Very interesting, very interesting in deed. I feel really bad for Elysia though. I guess I should look up your other stories to learn more about her. I just might have to do that! :) Cyns
