Chapter: 64 - Epilogue

I feel teary-eyed because it's over. This is such a beautiful story--and I mean the Trilogy and Once Upon a Time. I feel so blessed and fortunate to have found these pieces of writing. Outstanding ending. Not much else to say. You can't meddle with perfection. One of these days soon I'll tell you the story of 1996. You'll enjoy it :D Blessed be.

Chapter: 63 - Go Gently Into The Night

Beautiful!! Outstanding!! I knew it, I knew it. I knew who Stark was. That's still sad though--having your son spend his life as a bird, although he was an outstanding, magical bird. I'm wondering where Albus went when he disappeared from his frame. Was it supposed to be obvious or were we supposed to guess? The scene with Remus made me teary-eyed even though I knew what was coming. I hope Daniella was able to save herself and Severus. Excellent chapter. I loved every second of it.

Chapter: 62- Listening To Inner Voices

I had a different feeling as I read this chapter. Usually when I read accounts of the characters heading into the Battle for Hogwarts I am anxious but this time I felt excitement. I feel saddened also because I know this is the last night of life for some of these characters. I really liked the scene with the star chart and how it changed--signifying that the battle was near. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: My personal favorite scene was when Remus had Daniella tell him something only they would know. "The iron rungs of the bed made for good leverage..." , "I am married, you know." *snicker* Then, making Molly get out of the way so that Ginny could be with Harry. JKR's books were great, but they didn't tell the understory, why people did what they did, or what else was going on when Hary was doing his thing. Two more left. Dani

Chapter: 61 - Damage Control

I have such a feeling of anxiety knowing what's coming up next; also, regret because I'm so close to the end of this story. I feel bad for poor Stark having to go to Malfoy Manor. I did chuckle at the beginning when the other staff were trying to figure out who had "screamed" in the Headmaster's office :D I loved how they repaired Albus' tomb. I had no idea as to what they would do so it came as a surprise. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Yes, the end is near but there are two short stories that link to peruse afterwards. So Severus has that peace and power within him. Hmmm.... Dani

Chapter: 60 - Oh, The Tangled Webs We Weave

I was charmed by the "sibling bickering" between Pinky and Stark. The end to this chapter was hilarious. I can imagine all of the portraits trying to get a better look. Oh, the things they must have seen over the years in the Headmaster's office. And, people shouldn't just barge in through your fireplace either. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Growing up together creates "sibling bickery" even if you're not related.. Couldn't you just picture what was going on with the portraits. Makes me chuckle, too. Then, Severus' command "OUT!" at the fireplace. Geez, glad he didn't lose his pace. :-D Dani

Chapter: 59 - United We Stand

The ending of this chapter was so sad. If Daniella was a different person she might start being paranoid. As I recall, she thought Lily came between her (Daniella) and Remus when he was just trying to get Lily to help him ask Daniella out. Now Severus comes out and says that Lily was his first love. I think I'd be horribly jealous if a friend of mine came in and waved a hand to clean my house :D I was so happy to hear of little Sara's miracle. Did I ever tell you about my miracle in 1996? It might be a story that would interest you but I don't know if I told it to you or not. Great chapter.

Author's Response: I think jealousy was there but had to be swallowed knowingwhat it cost him. As he said, she's always understanding, almost to a faulth. Look at what she's had to deal with. Understanding and patience is second nature to her. I liked Sara's miricle. The fact that she blended magic and medicine to save someone's life, but often didn't because it would break the Statue of Secrecy. Magicals had to work in the Muggle world. No, you didn't tell me about 1996. Dani

Chapter: 58 - Grown Up Christmas List

Outstanding!! I'm teary eyed. I was so touched by the hospital scene. Severus showed his compassionate side. I really hope Daniella was able to work a "miracle." I almost forgot--I loved the Thestral-drawn carriage ride. How funny of Poppy to "arrange" for Slughorn to be sick and have to stay away from the party. That must have been an awesome ride. The conversation at the end must have been a very hard one to have. Leave it to Severus to plan and be prepared for everything. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: Ahhh, the hospital scene... Circle and Merlin, Severus ! You'll scare her to death!" :-D Could you imagine waking up with a dark, greasy-hairy wizard standing over you?? Ya, this was a long wone but well worth it.. Dani

Chapter: 57 - Reprieve

Hmm, I wonder what that was all about. The Carrows aren't very bright but they are mean. It was wonderful of Daniella to start a snowball fight with the students:D It was good for her to be able to slip a few positive comments about Severus in. Great chapter.

Author's Response: You'll find out. I had to lighten things up a bit and the snowball fight was perfect. The students don't know that she has known Severus for years. It would have been easy for her to slip in a few comments to make them think. I wondered that when reading the book. If he was so set on destroying them, hating them, then why did he send them for detention with Hagrid rather than the Carrows, and why teach them how to defend themselves rather than doing what Umbridge did and have the read from books? Hmmm. Dani

Chapter: 56 - In The Aftermath

As always I am happy when Severus and Daniella can spend some quality time together. I loved the conversation among the portraits. I was afraid that Severus was going to chuckle out loud when the portraits were commenting on how ornery he was. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: Having the portraits comment was just another point of view in the story. Even they have something to say about what's going on, albeit more humouristically. They continue to talk in upcoming chapters. Ornery? :-D good one. Even he recognizes it. Dani

Chapter: 55 - He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

What a powerful chapter! I was so happy that Mr. Campta came to visit Daniella. That was quite a convincing fight. I figured one or both of the Carrows was hanging about. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: I loved the Camptas. They were so loving and accepting to Daniella. It broke my heart to kill them off but death is a part of life. The circle must continue. To have the memory of her parents fade, and Albus' dismissed, while his comes through strong, is a testament to how much she cared for him/them. As for the fight...she never saw it coming, but handled it well. She reminded me of a lioness with her cub. Never get between the two! Dani

Chapter: 54 - Making Contact

It's good to be back. I loved it. These chapters keep getting more and more brilliant as they progress. I smirked at Albus' childish antics. Now that he's dead I guess he can come and go as he pleases and ignore people whenever he wants. I can't wait to read the remaining chapters. We know what happened with the Golden Trio from the books but I'm interested in seeing what was going on with other people behind the scenes. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: Albus' sulky behaviour continues for a bit until Daniella shakes him up. I was re-reading the books while I was writing this story, just to get the canon right. I'm afraid that anyone who doesn't know JKR's stories will get a bit lost at points. Dani

Chapter: 53 - The Start Of Something New

In some ways it's wonderful that Daniella will be at Hogwarts, close to Severus. At the same time, if I was Severus I'd be a mess, fearing for her safety. I couldn't believe she was teasing him in front of the other staff:D I think it is precious that he decorated her quarters. It sounds beautiful. I chuckled over his warning people not to hurt her in any way so as to avoid an international incident. That was a great way to safeguard her. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: I HAD to get her into Hogwarts somehow! :-) Yes, it's a worrisome situation, but you'll see how it fits. She's there until nearly the end. Dani

Chapter: 52 - Through The Looking Glass

Did Daniella manage to actually contact Severus through the scrying bowl and he wouldn't let her in? I felt that this was a quiet chapter, frustrating but quiet. It's so hard to sit and wait for something so critical to happen. I love Daniella's connection to Adrianne. Isn't Adrianne kind of powerful--she's so young and she can do some of what she wants without a wand rather than accidental magic. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Generally scrying dishes are used to view only. The Foe Glass in the Goblet of Fire was a similar idea. You can see the images but usually can't connect with them. I let Adrianne communicate with Daniella because her powers are still untrained and there is a maternal-type connection between the two, unlike the connection between Severus and Daniella which is more spiritual. Too deep? :-) Dani

Chapter: 51 - Destiny

That was outstanding. I love how you give the facts without being overly maudlin. It's like there's an objective observer, yet we can certainly feel what Daniella is going through. I knew what was going to happen in this chapter after I started reading it--it was about that time in canon. I had a great sense of anxiety and took a couple of breaks. After Albus died, I felt a strong sense of peace. He laid the path out for Daniella. If I were her I'd feel like there was a goal in sight and I could go to the end. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: Oh yes, there's a goal. The trouble will be getting there. Horcruxes are still missing. Dani

Chapter: 50 - Letting Go

Knowing that the Camptas had to be getting quite old, I still felt very sad when they died. I was happy they died close together in time and that Daniella was there. My grandparents also died within a few months of each other--Grandpa died in February and Grandma died in October of the same year. I'm glad in many ways that Daniella returned to England. It will be more dangerous there but she'll be close by when all the bad stuff that we know is coming starts to happen. I'm glad that Stark was able to make it to visit Saxon's grave. I still say that Stark is Saxon reincarnated:P Great chapter.

Author's Response: Every time I read the part with the Camptas, I tear up. After two years, it still hits me. It's so painful to lose someone you care about. Dani

Chapter: 49 - Static In The Air

That wasn't nice to leave a big clliffie like that:D I wonder whether Daniella will return to Italy or stay in England. I think she'll be bored in her office job in Italy. I'm also wondering if there's some hidden use for the Potion Severus sent for Valentine's Day. The accompanying poem sounded like a riddle. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Keep reading. It's coming... Dani

Chapter: 48 - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...I Think Not

Again, this is so sad. I wonder if, in JKR's version, Severus also didn't expect to survive the War or he even wanted to. In your version he probably wanted to survive. He was so powerful and so intelligent you have to wonder why he wasn't better prepared for what happened. Why didn't he have potions or phoenix tears. I'm glad the wizarding world had brave people to depend on. I would've said "Hey, it's Christmas. Get back to me with your errands in a couple of weeks." :D Great chapter.

Author's Response: I love Severus. Beyond that, I'm saying nothing... Dani

Chapter: 47 - A Waiting Game

I absolutely agree with Pinky--just because the weather's bad in one part of the country doesn't mean it isn't nice in another part. If you're magical and can Apparate, why not put it to good use:D How opportune that Daniella ran into Tonks and saw what she saw. Maybe this was the push that sent him towards Tonks. Great chapter.

Author's Response: I'd love that ability too. Daniela and Remus seemed to have moved to another stage of their relationship. It's nice to have that closeness without the pressure. Dani

Chapter: 46 - The County Fair

That was brilliant. It was so unexpected--well, not the brilliant part (I knew you were brilliant) but the whole scene at the county fair. I couldn't imagine where Daniella was being called to. When it was to help Emily's family at the summoning of Adrianne I was very surprised. Then, to have magic show up in Colin's background was perfect. That family was so lucky. I'm sure there were others who weren't. To have Severus there was even better. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: Happy to please. :-) Dani

Chapter: 45 - Wizard War II

What happened with Sirius was so sad, yet I guess it had to happen. As annoying as Albus can be I'm sure it was shocking to swear to do what he asked of both Severus and Daniella. As annoying as he is, he still gave his life in the end for the greater good. I wonder where Daniella is off to. Great chapter.

Author's Response: I always wondered about the argument that Hagrid overheard between Albus and Severus in the forest. It had to have a deeper meaning. Having them swear on their wands made sense and explained then end when Albus calls Severus' name, and Severus' fury when he killed him. Dani
