Chapter: Messages of Heart and Mind

I have read this story before, but I obviously neglected to drop a review. This story was very poignant and tastefully done. The point where Helga and Godric discover the romance between Rowena and Salazar is a bit overplayed, but other than that this story isn’t over the top at all. Did you model Godric after Harry? Because I can see Harry in this intensely stubborn, my way or the highway attitude. Also, I very much liked Salazar’s wanting to have her come with him and his internal argument with himself as to whether or not to ask. You really deserved the honourable mention… Congratulations!

Chapter: Messages of Heart and Mind

Megan, you've outdone yourself in this story. :) Rowena/Salazar and actually, any Founder pairing is so lovely and dramatic because of the complications of friendship. Alas, how the way friendship can get in the way of love, right?

I really loved how Rowena never truly CHOSE - Salazar sort of made her choice for her. I'm wondering that there was no mention of the Chamber, however. No hint, whatsoever.

I loved the fight between Godric and Salazar - so characteristic of two headstrong, passionate men.

I liked the emotion that you've put into this relationship. We get such a good feel for the passionate/icy dynamic of the Rowena/Salazar pairing.

I would have appreciated a bit more of a buildup from friends to romance for the pairing, but I do understand that you were limited by the fact that it had to be a one-shot for the challenge. :)

Lovely work, my dear. Really awesome.

Author's Response: Oh, Kumy, thanks so much for the review! Yay! I'm so happy that my first romance -- and second Founder-era -- story turned out so well!

Rowena/Salazar is very interesting to me; there's just something about those two that make me want to pair them up rather than any of the other Founders.

Yeah, the missing Chamber was an oversight, I guess. While writing, I never really thought of it, and it didn't even enter my mind reading through the fic several times before (and after) posting.

And as for the buildup from friends to lovers ... I have ideas for that, and I might incorporate them into "Divided We Fall" or write a companion piece to this one-shot. *Feels the bunnies already hopping*

Thanks once again so much for the review, Kumy! You're great!
