I am utterly speechless. . . That was AMAZING! Seriously, words are failing me right now. That made me cry so much, and I usually don't cry when reading fanfics.

Author's Response: I'm glad that you like it. Honestly, there is no higher compliment to me than hearing that one of my stories made someone cry. Thanks!

Wow! This is really beautiful and utterly heartwrenching. I was in tears from the second paragraph onwards! The line: To be told of your departed loved one by a complete stranger gave you a definite and priceless sense of detachment. It was wonderful; you looked down on your pain from a cloud high above and watched your silent distress in numbness. really got to me because it's so very true.

I though the interaction between Lily and Ginny was lovely. It felt very real and really brought out the tragedy of everyone trying to be strong for everyone else and falling apart themselves. It's far too easy to believe it's what you have to do and so sad to see a child struggling with that.

This really is a beautifully tragic story and yet somehow it feels almost hopeful because you can see that they are going to be okay now.

Author's Response: Wow, thanks! What a nice review. I'm glad it felt real. That's what I intended. I don't like stories that run away from reality. Reality is what we have, because dreams don't last long. I understand what you mean about the hope. I will never write a story that doesn't at least hint at a hopeful ending. Well, thanks very much for the review, and I'm glad you liked my story!

That was beautiful! It really made me cry.
I especially loved the description of Lily... how she was so afraid to cry and show emotion. It was well done.
Just one question: Did Harry die in the Last Battle, or somewhere else?
This was a great tear-jerker! Great job!

- Katie

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Well, I wanted to leave it open for iterpretation, but that is how I personally imagined him dying. But whatever fits you best, that's how it happened. (-: Thank you again for a lovely review. Sorry for making you cry, even though that was sort of my intention when I wrote this: Relating to people. Mia

Oh, my gosh, that was so sweet. Not like, sappy or anything, but just plain sweet. I am getting teary, and I think this was the most beautiful but yet sad story ever! I know that no matter what, Denise will somehow read this. I'm very sorry. I'm sure she'll always be with you!

Author's Response: Thanks. I know she's seen this. Death isn't really as horrible as some people think, I guess. They never truly leave. Thanks so much for the wonderful review! *hugs* Mia

Golly, this was beautiful. Lily was not too mature for her age, when you look at what she has gone through. my friend has gone through more and she is incredibly mature for a 15 year old- she's like an adult. Well done, though.

Author's Response: I didn't think Lily was too mature either, but my moderator did, and thought I should explain about that. I know people here who have gone through hell, and they never had a childhood. Mine was sort of wasted on me, too. But thanks, so much!

Gins- You know i don't get teary silly; i cry! I was a bit mad at Ginny for trying to seem super-humanly strong and unaffected, her kids have to learn that's it's okay to cry and you shouldn't hide your feelings so much. I know from experience that most of the time hiding is the worst thing to do. I was very proud of Lily when she broke down and gave her mother a figurative slap across the face. I don't usually go for stories where Harry dies/ is dead, but i really liked it. -Lils

Author's Response: Wow, long time no hear from! But I'm glad you finally got around here. He. Aww...*hands tissue* thanks! Well, when people die we do tend to try and seem stronger than we are. We actually think it'll hurt less, somehow. This is based on the true story of people I consider family, so it happens, and we don't have to be mad. It's just life. Plus, it's essential to the story, because she learns. And asie from that, I dont' really think you can say that Lily 'slapped her on the face' was more of an unintentional opening of the eyes. Ginny knows exactly how to deal, she just need some help. But thanks! Mia

Hi, there! I want to say that your fic brought tears to my eyes. It really did. I actually think that your portrayal of Lily was very realistic. I would have liked to see more of what James and Sirius think of now. i think it would have been very interesting to see it from the point of view of a six and five year old.

I also think that the last part was very meaningful. The flashback really added a lot to the story. Well. that's it for now. Happy writing!

Author's Response: I know...I thought of having it be a conversation with them all...but then I decided Lily's would better represent the pain and struggle. But thanks for suggesting, maybe I'll write a sequel to this someday that portrays that. THanks! And I'm really glad it touched you!

Yesterday, February 24 2007, my cat Whiskers died. This will sound dead lame, but since she died and I red this fiction it has really made me realize how much I take life for granted and how many stupid times a day I use the word "I". This really has touched me and you know, people tell me that all the time with my fiction After the Rainfall and now that I read this it made me think of what love can do to one. Thank you for writing this it has really made me think of what my family means to me. Thank you! MJ

Author's Response: I am sorry about your cat. I can understand that, and it's not lame. I am really glad this touched you, you don't know how much that means to me!
