lol. Nice twist there but my only problem is I have a problem with girls being taller then the guys they date so maybe harry can magic his height to hers or a bit taller?

Author's Response: Oh, come on, the girl can be taller. My whole reasoning behind her turning out to be tall like a model was to put some contrast in the differences between her and Ginny. I've always seen Ginny as a shorter, petite little spitfire, and I wanted Susan to be as refreshing to Harry as possible.

I've already said that Harry and Ginny will get together, but where Susan and Gavin are concerned? Remember, I've always tried my best to stay away from the cliches and the expectations. That's all I've got to say about that :)

As for the jealousy issue between Ginny and Susan, let me just say that I'm expecting a few negative reviews on what I put Ginny through. I've put Harry's emotions through the wringer so badly that he was basically driven insane. And when I wrote the story, I wanted Ginny to go through something almost, if not equally, traumatic. You'll just have to wait and see what it is :P

And yes, it did take a while for the approval to go through, but I think they're still having problems with the cleaning theyve been doing around here. A couple of my chapters have magically ended up double spaced and my submitted chapters are seeing a few extra html tags that weren't there before. Hopefully they can resolve this issue soon.

Oh, wow. I did NOT see that coming. I mean Susan appearing, not the kiss at the end; once he'd noticed her physique, I saw where it was going, but you definitely caught me by surprise. By now I feel bad. Susan seems really nice, and while I'm glad you'll be ending this Harry/Ginny, I don't want her to get hurt. Gavin, sure; he seems like a jerk, and it's obvious Ginny doesn't love him, but Susan's too kind to be hurt. Hopefully she makes it out of this ok. Now you've got me eager for the next chapter!

And yes, Susan is and always will be the sweet girl that I've portrayed her as... and it's unfortunate that her feelings might get hurt in the future... but hopefully I can pull it off with a few more surprises where those events are concerned.

Um... ok, I know you said to never fear, and I know this is a Harry/Ginny story, but I am upset. It's a good, well-written chapter though. I just can't stand the idea of anybody else with Harry. Well, it doesn't really bother me as much in stories where Harry still often thinks of Ginny and compares the girl to Ginny, and she always comes up short. It doesn't seem like that with him saying/thinking the things he is, like "the softest lips he had ever felt" for example. I'm definitely staying with the story though. I have faith in Harry/Ginny and you. You wouldn't lie to us. :) Although please don't put us through the torture for too long (hopefully only a chapter or two?). I also really hope the resolution of Harry choosing between the two doesn't have Susan dying. That would be too cliche, and I think Ginny deserves to have Harry choose to be with her even if there's another amazing girl around, and they can hear each other's thoughts for crying out loud. Only the thought of Ginny in danger could throw Harry so over the edge... he could never, ever feel even close to that much for another girl. Harry and Ginny are soulmates, in canon and in your story, even if they both get a little lost along the way and become attracted to other people, as everyone is bound to be at one point or another.

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you for not jumping to conclusions, lol. My plan for the Ginny/Susan comparison in Harry's mind will be definitive. And there will be no mistake in the future on why he chooses Ginny over Susan, but so far, this chapter is just an introduction into Harry's newfound "sane-ness".

The grittier details of this newly formed love triangle (or quadrangle) will be described in the next two chapters, but there are tough times ahead for the four people involved.

Some of you expect Susan or Gavin to die, or to turn bad, but the fact that you expect it makes those situations a bit cliche. I will be doing my best to keep you on your toes and keep you guessing. Hopefully it turns out well in the ene.

You've gotten the right idea when you pointed out that they can hear each others' thoughts. I won't go into details, but the connection between Harry and Ginny will play a big part in how these relationships develop. I can tell you right now that some of it won't be pretty though, so brace yourselves.

Your last sentence there about being attracted to other people is the key here. It happens in reality and I wanted to try and bring a bit of harsh reality into the story. But like I keep promising, all will be well in the end. I know I'm sounding like a broken record, and that I might be giving a bit of the story away, but I wanted to be clear on the direction I'm taking, while at the same time filling in the plot details with something the readers might like.

I love the story so far, and it's more realistic with what would have happened had Ginny (or any g/f) been kidnapped and so on. BTW, do you post at any other sites? I can't seem to get my stories "right" for MNFF, so I'm over at FF.net..........

As for posting at other sites, I've found that FF.net is easiest to upload to, though I only have one story up on it at the moment. ("The Right Man") Everywhere else is just about the same as MNFF, except for the time it takes for approval, which is sometimes longer and sometimes shorter.

As soon as I have 7-Year War done, I'll probably stick it up on a bunch of other sites, like Fictionalley, or Harrypotterfanfiction, but right now I'm concentrating mostly on MNFF.

Author's Response: Well, I'm glad I got the reaction out of you that I wanted, when it came to how horrible the Weasley's were being. But don't worry, all should be well soon.

And don't be too hasty with your judgement on Gavin. Just like every other character in the story, he'll have his own personal character flaw, which just might make you change your views on him a bit. I'm trying to do the unexpected here, so hopefully you like where I go with him.

To answer your question: Yes, she does love him. But there's much more to it than that. The next chapter or two should define that love pretty well for you, so hopefully it'll satisfy your curiosity.
