I really like this. You have Neville almost perfectly in character, and though Ginny's a little sadder than I would have thought, she was probably feeling pretty depressed about Harry at the end of the ball, so it's definitely believable. Your writing is very good, and I enjoy reading it.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! There are so many ways you could do Ginny's reaction to the Ball, and depression (because of Harry) was the one this story needed. Thanks for your comments -- it's great to know that I wrote something worth commenting on!

this is lovely. I loved the image of Ginny raising her arms to the height of a 14 year old boy's shoulders. such an excellent piece of writing!
