Chapter: Living for the Dead

This was an fantastically dark story. I can feel the raw emotion from Remus, and his thoughts flow very naturally.

I love the way you open the story. The image of the many gravestones, and then the musings on the lives that they represent sets the mood and the tone incredibly well. I particularly like the way you have lives reduced to words on stone; that is particularly poignant.

The bit at the end, when Remus resolves to live for his friends, is particularly powerful when you pair it with the paragraph above. When you note how Remus was suicidal, and now, right when he'd be most expected to kill himself, he decides to live...wow. That packs a punch, and makes his resolve and bravery that much more strong.

A wonderful fic that I greatly enjoyed reading!

Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the great review! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it.

NOOO!!!!! TRUST PADFOOT!!!!

ok i'll stop now... This was a beautiful story... its description on how Remus felt was really real.

Great job

Author's Response: Thanks! I think he should trust Sirius too, but as he didn't know any better at the time, I think we can let him off! I've never had any of my work described as beautiful before though, thanks!

Chapter: Living for the Dead

Poor poor Remus...he pretty much has it the hardest of all, having to deal with his world falling apart in one night (Halloween, I mean). Anyway, I really liked the story. Very well-written and such.

Author's Response: He does have a really difficult time, doesn't he? He whole world just collapses on him. Anyway, thanks!

Chapter: Living for the Dead

Poor Remus, he sounds like he needs a hug :) But seriously, I loved how you describe Remus’s thoughts as he walked through the graveyard, it was brilliant! This was another wonderful story, I look forward to reading more of you’re work.

Author's Response: Thanks! I feel really sorry for Remus sometimes, he has a really bad time in the books, and an even worse one in my fics I think! Bless him... Anyway, I'm glad you liked the fic!
