Chapter: Moonrise and Sunset

Ohhh poor Remus. All that mental self-flagelation, he sets far too high a standard for himself. Oh I just want to give him a hug!

You have a brilliant knack of developing characters without them being OOC.

Author's Response: I once read that Remus, not Sirius, is the eternal penitent of the series, and I believe it. The way he talked about himself in PoA was very self-denigrating. Poor Remus indeed!

Oh, okay, I'm more sympathetic to his position now. I just hope he can work through this soon. I think you're the first person to suggest Remus is also the wolf. What made you think of such a thing?

Author's Response: I re-read PoA, the chapter in which he's telling Harry how when he was with his friends, his mind seemed to be less wolfish....how 'exciting possiblilities were open to us' and they'd laugh about the near misses afterwards and forget the dangers in the excitement of planning the next month's adventure. I think he remembered some or all of those adventures, that he got some enjoyment out of being a werewolf...he just never wanted to admit it, would rather think of the wolf as separate. Sigh.

Oh, more awesomeness from Kerichi! This is really tasty! His prose is more flowery than I might like, but still it's good reading. We don't get enough from his perspective. No wonder you're one of my favorites!

Author's Response: By flowery, do you mean reflective? I hope you don't mean pompous and artificial...or the style of the Lovers in Comedie del Arte, speaking in grand, pretentious, flowery language: "My love for you makes all the diamonds on the earth look like grains of sand, and your beauty makes them all dull." I do think of Remus as an old fashioned gentleman, but not that kind! I'm going for intellectually sophisticated while being authentic and natural. ^_^

I guess we really can blame all our problems on our parents :) Seriously, Remus’s mother definitely didn’t help him with the acceptance of his lycanthropy at all. I hope Remus can overcome his own self-doubt, -pity, -loathing, and see the person he really is, but then again, angst probably makes a more interesting story. Great chapter as always!

Author's Response: Thank you! I think Remus' mum considered him being a werewolf like other mothers think of their child having a disease, saying 'you are not the disease, you are a human being and you will rise above it!' He'll definitely be a work in progress about that acceptance during this story and the next!

this will be interesting. HOW DO YOU KNOW SO MUCH LATIN??? ARE YOU A RESEARCH FIEND?

Author's Response: I wish I could say 'I took two years of Latin and remember everything' but instead I took it at and forgot...but I still have a Latin dictionary and the willingness to use an online translator, LOL.

Heck yes to Remus' point of view! I tried to read this last night, but apparently I was on the computer "for five hours". Pfft, more lyk one hour. *mutters* Gosh, mother, learn how to count...

Anyhoo, I love this! It's so nice to be able to see his reaction compared to Tonks' reaction. S'wonderful! LoL.

The limerick was fantastic. I kinda laughed at it, only because I have to do this poetry project, and the only poem I have left to do is a limerick, LoL.

And yes I do look forward to new entries! ♥♥♥

Author's Response: You're s'awful nice to come back to read after your mum kicked you off the computer. ^_^ Poetry projects...eeek! I recently helped someone analyse the poems of Robert Frost. I think I'd rather write them than figure out all the hidden meaning, lol.

I have to post every-other-week since it takes two entries to get over the 1K requirement, but this friday will have reflections before and after Tonks' binding spell to be with Remus!

Good luck with your limerick!

Ohh this is fun to read it from Remus' perspective...I like it!

Author's Response: Remus is so different from Tonks and yet they suit perfectly. I'm glad this fic 'suits' you! ^_^

(tus.. you don't need to fish for compliments! You're great!)

Author's Response: It isn't fishing, it's outright begging, lol. Writers are a needy lot, craving encouragement.

I've been trying to get the third chapter of Moondance through, but I'm having some trouble :( Though I'm very flattered that you would want to read it!! :D Reading this through again, I have to say...love the limerick :D :D

Author's Response: I'm glad to hear you haven't abandoned your story to lie, alone, unloved, in a file. :D Have you tried imagining it unfolding as a film in your mind and 'seeing' what should come next? Works for me sometimes. ^_^

Wow...I love reading things from Remus' perspective. It's a refreshing break from Tonks (not that I'd ever tire of her!)...but it's nice to see her from a pov that isn't her own. ¡Su cuento es excelente! :D

Author's Response: Muchas Gracias, eres muy amable! (my one expression, lol) In the HBP fic, I'm thinking of having Remus' pov between Tonks' every chap...kind of like she demonstrated in the limerick entry, :D.

Aww! Perfect. I was just going to ask for something similar to this. Not only does Remus think, talk, and look sexy... he writes sexy too! My kind of man.

Author's Response: Merci! He's every woman's kind of man...except the stupid ones, afraid werewolves are all Dark. :D

I think this is going to be perfectly scrummy!

Author's Response: Elspeth! You're on MNFF! Does this mean you've finished your epilogue to A Sirius Dilemma and just submitted it? If not, you're the second one I'll hit up to get writing!

They really ARE perfectly suited *goofy smile* And you write Remus superbly...articulate and academic, yet passionate and loving. *sigh* Love it!

Author's Response: What a nice way with words you have! I've been hoping to read a new chapter of Moondance...any chance of one soon? : )

Yes, that was lovely!!! I love ALL of your fics. You're so talented. Maybe one day you should publish. Just let everyone know that you have and we'll all race to bookstores to get our hands on your wonderful works :]

Author's Response: The moment anything of mine publishes, there will be a banner so ginormous on my Author page, LOL. I'm working on it, so thank you to the moon and back for the encouragement! ^_^

The journal is a fantastic idea! I love Moonlight and Shadow and Remus is my favorite character, so this was a happy little surpise for me. I just wish you had started this sooner. I would have loved for you to explore more of Remus' thoughts when he and Nymphadora first got together...but I guess I shouldn't be greedy :)
Thanks bunches!

Author's Response: Me too on starting sooner, but the idea only came to me when I finished a Sirius MWPP story and didn't want to get into another involved chapter fic (New Year's Resolution, write original as well as fan fiction. :) but wanted to write in a pov contrasting to Tonks. Thank you bunches for the compliments!

I love your fics! And this is another stunner! I've spent way too many hours reading all the the stories in this series over the past fortnight - they were impossible to put down.
You're totally convincing in Remus' voice (and in Tonks' and Sirius' voices in the other fics) and its great to read fanfics where nothing jars.
I look forward to the next installments - can't wait!

Katy xx

Author's Response: Thank you for reading...and for not saying spent instead of "wasted way too many"! :D I'll do my best to keep the characters dialogue smooth and not jarring, because I cherish your good opinion!

Fantastic writing! Update soon!
