Harry being told off by a Hufflepuff? Oh, happy day. May I see many more chapters like this in my future. Ernie MacMillan seems to wear himself better with age, under your guidance.
While my sister read this to me aloud, I happened to completely mishear a few things. Instead of, "I took the attractive things offered", I somehow heard, "I took the attractive things off her." Then my sister pointed out that both could fit quite well. =D
Eeeek cliffie!!! Noooo! I love Aubrey's return, even thought it's terrible, really. Explains quite a lot though, but makes the reader ask as many questions as it answers! I hope we find out more soon! And I hope Severus is okay! I really enjoyed this chapter, though, Severus's attempts to protect Ginny to the very last are wonderful!
Excellent, intriguing, though I've been feeling like you're rushing a bit within your chapters. Looking forward to an update!
Aghhhhhhh! Please update soon! This has me jumping!
How easily you make me dislike Harry, and simply by showing him from Severus's point of view. I'm beginning to like Ernie very much, pompous or no.
Great portrayal of Harry. He's not stupid or vindictive, just incredibly pig-headed. I also like the moment when Severus decides he's had enough of worrying about the "brat" who is, of course, a grown man now. I get the idea that Severus's acceptance of death has been a process of giving up responsibility bit by bit as well as hope. Now Ginny is, in a way, giving him more responsibilities. He has to stick around to make sure the truth gets out although I see at this point he doesn't expect to outlive the truth by much.
I have always been found of your church scenes. The symbolism inbeded within each foriegn thought of 'something greater' held close by ritual.
And really, aren't we all hypocrites for entering a holy place each Sunday as a chore instead of the higher calling we seek and claim we know?
Lovely written , as usual...these past couple of chapters have all been rather brilliant, and your metaphor on the 'kernel' (though slightly overused) was magnificent, perhhaps during the trial we shall see a rose bloom of this curious seed of emotion. I also would like to suggest a day devoted to Ginny, and her thoughts on this ...curious...situation...perhaps during the trial, you could arrange a sort of 'mirror' chapter with Ginny's thoughts and feelings on all the goings on, reflected in Severus's opinions...a kind of switch-back between two copletly different peoples. keep up the good work friend!
Hi VV
Once more, I'd love to tell you just how much I enjoy your stories. Your characterization of Snape is so resonant with my own. I do hope that canon bears out your interpretation of Snape. In this chapter you have definitely captured Harry perfectly too.
I'd love to see this particular story finish before the release of DH, of course. Hope that can happen...
In addition, I'd definitely love to see some more 'missing moment' fics, since you seem to be so good at them, particularly Snape/Ginny ones. Maybe a Snape/Luna moment?
Thank you again for the pleasure :)
And enter Harry. :D Loved seeing more on the relationship that Snape had with Harry, from Severus's perspective. And it's wonderful how much sense it makes! Plus, it's really great how you have the drama of the trial going on, but still subtlely introduce other mysteries and questions - I can't wait to find out more about the warden! And I can't wait to see more of Severus and Ginny and of the trial! Update soon!
Fabulous. I loved how MacMillan led up to his penultimate question, "Is it possible to kill another person for a good reason, Harry?" That was beautiful.
Ahh we finally get to Harry. And he's still as big a fool as ever. it's sad really. Great story!
After all those years ole Snape can still get the best of Harry. Can't we all just get along? lol I enjoyed this chapter tremendously. Keep up the great writing.
I think you captured Harry's refusal to see a possible other side to Severus very well.
Aw. I loved the ending! Ginny/Severus moments are so precious, and it's great how realistic you keep their relationship and how non-romantic... sort of... for now... :) Anyway, it's great how the trial is going on, I loved hearing Narcissa testify, and Justin's role was really amusing and clever. Great chapter! Update soon!
