Chapter: Epilogue: Counting to One

Great Job, I think that the best work to describe this story is powerful. It's amazing all of the different themes you included. Great job. Now I am going to see if you have any other stories on this site because i love the way you write. I really hope you keep wrtting stories as amazing as this one.
~CJ

Author's Response: Thanks, CJ. I hope you like the other things I've posted. There's some other work of mine on SIYE (look for these titles and you'll find my pen name), and on my LJ, where my handle is "Rhetoretician."

Chapter: Prologue: Before a Storm

I just wanted to let you know that this is amazing. I have only read the first chapter but amazing. I loved the part when Ron said that he is just the keeper and Harry is the seeker. Very good. I can't wait to get to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks, CJ. I'm grateful for your praise. ~Ken

What a powerful and poignant story! I am so glad I accidentally clicked on this story. It was beautifully written and you actually had me wanting to know more about Georges-Jacques in the end. I thought it was very interesting that you had Ginny die on Harry's birthday. I am looking forward to reading more of your work and congratulations on having your story in the featured section!

Author's Response: Thanks, Sandy. (I seem to be doing really well out of accidental clicks!) I'm glad you want to know more about Georges-Jacques; so do I. Have you seen "On the Headmaster's Wall?" It's also on Mugglenet FF.

Chapter: Epilogue: Counting to One

wow, i am so glad i accidentally clicked on this story. it was amazing, an actual story unlike the ones with pointless plots so often seen. i suppose i want to say thankyou for letting me read your story, it was the first ever fanfic i have cried in.
thankyou again, and congradulations on getting it in the featured section. i really can't understand why there arn't many reviews, i never review but i just couldn't help myself on this one.
oh and i was wondering, how does petra know so much about ginny to do the sculpture, is she related to any one somehow, or was she at strangers' house at one point?
anyway, thanks and keep on writting, you have an amazing mind.

Author's Response: Thank you, Theresa. Moving my reader is what I strive for most, and I am honored and delighted that you were so effected. The story's only been in the Featured section for a day or so; I'm guessing that there will be more reviews later. As for Petra -- she never met Ginevra and is no relation to anyone else in the story (although I realize that she bears an accidental resemblence to both Hermione and Harry). My guess is that Ned, who who commissioned the monument and oversaw it, probably found an old photo of Ginny from somewhere and gave it to Petra. ~Ken

Author's Response: Thanks so much, Catherine. Sorry about the mascara, but I'm really happy that it moved you; that's what I strive for. ~Ken

I lied (unintentionally, of course). I actually have feature privledges next week. I had my fics already lined up, but one of them I just realized is not acceptable to be featured as it is rated Professors. This gem is going up in its place. So about Christmas Eve, check the main site for a Christmas present from me to you.

Author's Response: Oh, my goodness! Thank you, Kim! I'm really honored. (I'm going to post the Epilogue right now, in hopes that it will be up by the time the story appears on the "Featured" list.) ~Ken

Chapter: Strangers' House

Wow...I don't know what to say. I actually am pretty sure I validated the first chapter of this as well, and I am just stunned at the turn it took.

I must say that in reading back over it again, the stormy setting was a perfect foreshadow of the main part of the story to come.

And what a story it was! I was in near tears reading about poor Emily and Ginny, excuse me, Ginevra was somehow in character to me. Knowing what we do of Ginny in the series, if those events were to happen to her, that is exactly how I'd believe she would turn out. Thus, your characterization is very believable. The writing is impeccible, and I loved the underlying moral throughout of the wealthy and powerful needing to remember, support, and give to the poor and weak.

Fabulous job. I'm adding this to my list of favorites so that next time it is my turn to pick featured stories (which unfortunately won't be for about another six months) I want this one up there.

Author's Response: Thanks, Kim. It means a lot to me when someone is moved by one of my stories, and I value your praise. ~Ken

Chapter: Prologue: Before a Storm

Good start! I liked the dialogue between Ron and Harry, it was very well done and in character. Setting it against a storm was great. Is this a Horcrux hunt then? Good luck with the next part! ~Gina :)

Author's Response: Thanks, Gina. I don't want to say too much about what's going to happen next, but I don't think I'll give anything away by telling you that you won't be watching them while they hunt for horcruxes.
