Go Indepedent!Harry!!!!!!!!! *evil laughter*
Author's Response: Indeed! :)
Wow, a whole differnet view on Harry's life. I enjoyed it. I understand how Harry must feel. A wonderful story I story I might add. Great and wonderfully written with exceptional detail. I'd kill them too and feel no remorse if thats how it had to be. It was a darker side of Harry than I'm used to, but quite frankly, its most likely more realistic this way.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. It is not so much Dark!Harry as it is Independent!Harry. Indeed he is darker in this story than he is usually shown in fandom; however I tried to keep him in character nonetheless. Let's not forget that he's one year older than he is at the end of HBP, and he's likely to have matured and maybe grown more bitter in the past year.
Ohohoo! Great story I love it,perfectly written.
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! I'm quite proud of it :)
Your story is so original and clever. It was like a breath of fresh air. Harry is utterly believable and not at all contrived. I love the way you dealt with the Harry/Voldie duel, and also Ginny. I don't like her that much either, but am resigned to the fact that unless JK kills one (or both) they're stuck together. Thanks for a great story.
Author's Response: Thanks a lot, your review is exactly the sort of reaction I was hoping I would get. I loved writing this one-shot, precisely because I was tired of the unrealistic Harry/Voldemort duels and of the H/G romance. As you can see, I'm probably not as resigned to it as you are ^^.
i really enjoyed reading this story!and i dont know what more can i say....
thank you for writing it!
Author's Response: You're welcome, and thank you for reviewing it. I am happy you enjoyed it.
Oh no I loveed your story! See it's in my favorite list! My face just gets all blank and spacey when I am really ocncentrating or relaly enjoying myself. It creeps my friends out, but yeah..
Stupid new minister (that is now dead) is just as bad as the stupid old minister.
Like I said, Harry Potter really is a tragic story. This was such a good fanfic! *squeals with glee*
Author's Response: Strange. When I'm reading, my own face keeps shifting into the expressions of the characters I'm reading about... It creeps my friends out too, though ;).
Squee! Another excellent story! Sorry I was slow on reading it, but I got sidetracked...you are a truely superb author, and I compliment you on your word choice and portrayal. Thanks for a great story!
Author's Response: Well, thanks for a nice review! :D I really loved writing it. I had been wanting to do a Harry-PoV in first person for ages. I am so happy you liked it.
Wow i loved it, Wow thats all i can say
Author's Response: Thanks! :)
As I was reading this my face was blank, but as I got to the last line I couldn't help but smile. Harry Potter's life really is tragic story. His actions towards the Minister and that reporter were and were-not justified. Killing and attackign should never be the answr.. but they had it coming. Then when Ginny started talking about their future toegtehr.. That was just plain creepy.
Author's Response: Of course, violence should never be the answer, but this is Harry Potter we're talking about. He's been told all his life he had to defeat Voldemort--no negociate with him, defeat him--and when he has finally succeeded, others come into the picture and start threatening him with duties and responsibilities. Do you think Scrimgeour would have accepted his reasons for wanting to stay out of the picture? I don't think so... As for the journalist, as he says himself, he hadn't intended to be that brutal with her; but even so, I don't see how he could've got away without cursing her, considering her insistance. Come on, nobody would have worried about his actions being justified or not if he had cursed Skeeter in fourth year. As you said yourself, they had it coming :).
As for Ginny's little speech being creepy... I totally agree.Well, I'm not sure whether you liked the story that much on the whole, but thank you for the honest review! :)
wow. I really, really, really liked that. It was seriousand about death, but it was funny. 10/10
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. And I'm happy you thought it was funny in spite of everything. Thanks for the 10/10!
It was incredible! I want more, please!!
Author's Response: Thanks! Maybe I'll write more, when I have the time! :)
Wow, I hope Harry is Happy where ever he is now....
Author's Response: I'm sure he is. Thanks for the review.
Excellent! A very refreshing break from al the "happy endings" waltsing about. I love it and and wish you'd write a sequel...
Author's Response: Thanks, and maybe I will! :) It needed to be a One-Shot since I already have 4 WIP and no time to write.
You know, I really want to tell you that that was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.... But I can't bring myself to do it, you see, because that was brilliant. I love how you made Harry the bad guy, and I especially liked the ending with the trial and all - it was excellent. I also laughed really, really hard at the "If Voldemort had had eyebrows, he would have raised them" part, because... Well, I don't know why, but it was funny. Great idea, overall - the ending was a bit gruesome, what with Ginny and all, but I loved the trapped man idea and so forth... Really amazing story. Great work! Bravissima.
Author's Response: Well, thanks all the same! ^^. I wouldn't describe Harry as "the bad guy", he was just a human being in this story. I'm glad you laughed at the bit about Voldemort's eyebrows, or lack thereof; it was meant to prevent the whole "Harry/Voldemort" duel from becoming too melodramatic. It is Harry writing down his memories, and I really wanted to avoid melodrama at all costs :).
About Ginny, I expected some criticism--I gave in to my Ginny-hatred here. It was a bit gruesome, but it was damn funny to write! ;)Thanks for the review again!
I like it. Most of the 'End of the War' stories have everything end happily and perfectly, but, logically, that just wouldn't happen. This one is much more bleiveable, to me.
Author's Response: Thanks, and I agree with you. I don't think a happy ending fitting after all Harry's been through.
Love it! Love it1 Love it! Magnificietn! Fantasastic! I don't know what else to call it. It's exactly as I felt Harry would feel, what he would do. The caged bird that seeks freedom. I'm glad he got it.
Author's Response: Yes, me too. I felt stupidly content when I finished writing this. Thanks for the review, and I'm very happy you liked it.
I love this story so friggen much! i love how harry just sort of, let go, it was a touch that set the mood story, and the story was fantastic. i symphasize with harry, if i was him, i probably would've screamed at the minister, ripped his eyes out or something, than killed him. it's not that i'm insane, it's just that i hate being told what to do. =) anyways, great story! and i'm looking for your work in the future
Author's Response: Thanks a lot, and I don't think you're insane. Harry's not insane either :). Ripping his eyes out would have been messy as hell, but thanks for the suggestion :D !
Great story! I really liked it, even though it is a little sad. You are a great author and I hope you write more!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I wouldn't describe my story as "sad", somehow, but I can understand why you felt that way.
I loved it.
Author's Response: I'm very happy you did.
This story is sooo refreshing from all of the Harry/Ginny Fics and Harry the Hero fics I've been reading. I like this change of pace and style, it's cool. It made me laugh, so good for you. 10/10
Author's Response: Thank you! I was tired of the usual H/G fics and happy endings as well... And most Independant!Harry fictions picture him as almost godlike. I wanted to do something different. I'm glad you liked it!
