I think Snape would use the Muffliato charm since he invented it.

Nice variation on how Harry gets to Hogwarts.

Author's Response: Thanks!! Oh, I forgot about that spell! I'll have to use it more often!

"in hopes of seeing the Weasley’s and Hermione"----apostrophe not needed, you are writing about more than one Weasley so it's a simple plural.

So Draco is calling them scum because his father is listening? shows definate tension between both of Harry's friend. Nicely done.

Author's Response: Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks!

Draco didn't call them scum just because his father is listening. In some way, he does believe it himself -- he's been brought up to believe it. ~Sara

Draco's reaction to Harry seemed appropriate. Good chapter.

Mrs Weasley says you'r. both helpless. Shouldn't that be you're both hopeless?

Interesting chapter

Author's Response: Thanks!! Yes, that should be the word. Not helpless. Oops.

Not too surprised that Ron and Harry were fighting. I hope you don't make Ginny too shy in your story. (Even if she doesn't end up with Harry).

Author's Response: Its not highly shone or anything, but Ginny does have a crush on Harry right now. It might be more apparent later in the story. ~Sara

Just a few nitpicks. I think Dolohov is the one with the pockmarked face and both he and Rookwood were in Azkaban at the time. Nott may have been the better person for Lucius to plot with. As I said minor nitpick.

I have changed my mind about Lucius so much during the 7 books. After I read COS, I thought he was a stern father but not necessarily evil. Around the fourth book it hit me that Ginny almost died in the second book and I thought he was extremely evil. And I liked the theory that said planting the diary was a way to bring back Lord Voldemort. Then by the 5th or 6th book, I wondered whether Lucius was quite happy to have Voldemort gone because it meant he could be the big fish in the sea. So when Voldemort did return, Lucius was stuck with him because he couldn't just hand in his resignation now, could he?

So it will be interesting to see how your Lucius develops over the 7 years.

Author's Response: At the time, I forgot he was in Azkaban, but in this story he'll be out.

That's very true. My ideas of Lucius changed much the same. I think somewhere in him, he's got a bit of good because he cares about the well-being of his son, even if he doesn't come out and show it. But he's also evil. He has killed and tortured people for Voldemort and even though he might not have wanted him to come back whole-heartily, he did attempt at bringing him back with the diary. ~Sara

What I think Draco wants is his parents approval. In one of the Draco essays in the Burrow someone expanded this idea.

I don't think Lucius is abusive in the sense that he hates his son. He might see in Draco the qualities he sees as a weakness to a Death Eater's point of view. A weakness he knows he (Lucius) has but keeps hidden and he feels Draco must do the same in order to survive.

I think one of the things that show Draco is not overly abused is the fact that he can talk to Harry about it. This isn't to say that Draco isn't hurt by his father's criticisms or yelling, but that Draco is resilent or that once in a while Draco and his father can actually bond.

Author's Response: That was very well explained!!! And I think I'm actually going to come back to what you say as a reference for when I write. Thanks! ~Sara

Trust seems to be a good name for this chapter. Not just about Draco and Harry starting to trust each other, but that Harry is willing to let Ron know what is really going on.

So did Harry land where he was suppose to in canon? Irony.

Author's Response: Thanks!!!

Actually I had no problem with Lucius entering the house because Harry invited him in. Also it would be too cliched if Malfoy manor looked too much like Grimmauld Place. Besides Lucius doesn't want to advertise he is/was a Dark Wizard.

I liked how the Malfoys used an illusion charm to fool the Dursleys.

Author's Response: I thought it would be interesting if the Dursley's liked the Malfoy's, because in the books they hated the Weasley's. That's true about the fact that Mr. Malfoy doesn't want people to know he's a dark wizard. I never actually thought about that concerning his home. ~Sara

Gonna miss Lockhart, but I'll get over it. It will be interesting to see what happened to P. Parrish as a DADA teacher.

Author's Response: We'll hear of Lockhart in the third story, but only once. Sorry, but I couldn't stand Lockhart! ~Sara

Keep it up! I'm glad Ron and Hermione don't think Harry's the heir. I hope nothing bad comes of Harry keeping an eye on Hermione...

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this question (I'm to lazy to go threw all the reviews to see if someone has) but how did Ron and Hermione get into the Slytherin common room? Earlier in the story it was said (and demonstrated) that only a person worthy to enter a house common room would be allowed to enter. Ron being able to enter the Slytherin common room seams believable but Hermione? I would think that the fact that she's muggle born would not make her worthy enough to enter since Slytherin felt muggle borns weren't worthy to study magic.

Author's Response: No, I don't think anyone asked that!! Good for you! I was actually waiting for someone to because I have an answer. You can trick the common room into thinking that you're someone you're not. So when Ron and Hermione dressed up like Crabbe and Goyle it didn't think that they were otherwise. It could possibly be tricked other ways as well. I always felt that Slytherin would allow a Muggle-born if they had the the qualities of a Slytherin. Thanks for the review! ~Sara

heheheh... I'm liking this story.
I like the scenes with Ron and Hermione, just because they are so few. Think, Harry has a horcrux in his ownership right now. I wonder if Dumbledore realizes how Voldemort discreetly got in the school. And if/when will Hermione be petrified? How interesting...

Author's Response: Thanks!!! Dumbledore's nervous about the Chamber of Secrets because he knows that Tom opened it last time, and he's sure that Tom is opening it again, but he isn't sure how. I wouldn't know what to do if I were him. Hermione will be Petrified, you just have to wait. I hope you continue enjoying my story!! ~Sara

Oooh! Cliffy!

Anyway, good chapter. It had a different tone than the others though, it seemed to me. Not bad, just different.

Author's Response: thanks!!!

i'm not sure the omniscient view was working for me to be perfectly honest. . . .

Author's Response: i'm glad you're being honest. i don't really do it that much because there isn't that much emotion involved when its more from a god-like view. harry's view is better. ~Sara

I really enjoyed that chapter.
Draco's a bit tempermental as a friend isn't he?
What's Harry going to say?
i'm not sure what the whole smart thing is leading up to... but you obviously do.

Author's Response: well, their smarts will help them a lot. and besides, i want him to be independent. i don't want him to depend on hermione like he did in the books. ~Sara

i could really imagine it
If only this was the real book!

Author's Response: i wish it were a real book!!! that would be fantastic!! i hope to write books someday in the future! imy major in college is creative writing, so i'm on the way there! ~Sara

I loved the idea of Hermione and Ron using the Polyjuice potion on Harry instead of Malfoy
Very clever
great chapter as always♥
Keep them coming!

Author's Response: thank you!!! i thought a twist would work very nicely and couldn't just forget about the Polyjuice potion. i knew i should use it somehow. keep enjoying them!! hehe! ~Sara
