I am only on chapter 3, but I just wanted to say that I LOVE this story and so much hope you haven't abandoned it. It's funny, the characters (especially Molly) are brilliant and everything flows so well that I really feel like I'm reading a Potter book again. Wonderful! -abovelevel

Chapter: Summer Daze

Sorry for the double review - but I just wanted to know if Hestia's "pink stone" is a reference to Carlotta Pinkstone? Were her parents comparing her to Voldemort?

Oh my!

You have no idea how excited I got when I saw this on the Recent Stories list. It has got to be one of my favourite stories on the archives. I love reading the Prewetts' and Weasleys' stories the way you've written it. :)

Just one nitpick, though:

“So,” Hestia prompted, “When are you going to see William again?”

I think the "when" should begin with a small "w".

Great story! I am so happy you're continuing it.

HYPATIA!! you are my favorite-test author on MNFF. and MNFF is the only fanfic site i have ever liked. i love your work. you add the right amount of fun, drama, romance and action in your stories. they are all well-brewed concoctions.

but don't tell me you have abandoned shadows of the past. i have always wanted someone to tell a story something bout molly, arthur and the prewett brothers. now that you have been doing it so "fantastically" well, i hope you are not abandoning it. please update soon!

Chapter: Summer Love

Ummmm Hello!!! Where have you been??? Please don't desert this story it is beautiful!! I loved Arthur in this one. He finally knows that Molly loves William. I liked his attempts with Roses are red. Only Arthur would try to write parodies of Muggle poems.

I love this story! It's so odd [in a good way!] and refeshing to see Molly and Arthur behaving like typical young teenagers when all we usually see of them are the older, wiser versions. It also definitely shows that they understand a lot more about their children's lives than the children give them credit for.

I love the parts about the rose garden and the Black family especially.

I hope you update!

Also, what year does this take place? I'm assuming 1974, based on the years Andy gave about the Black family, but just to make sure?

Chapter: Missed Communication

noooooooooooooooo! a cliffie. a huge one! ive been reading this story all day...
i love this story a whole lot. i love hearing about molly and when she was a teen! its such a nice refresher from all those marauder era stories. lol.
ok i have a few critiques. I think that you could cut down a bit on the horses and the descritpions of the races and all that stuff, because it can get a bit confusing, esp. with so many different horses! its good that there are a lot of characters, but i am really starting to get them quite mixed up. i think when you introduce a new character you should explain who they are and a few factoids about them, and what year they are in, etc. also, i would like to see some character development with marlene, ariel, and amelia, because they all seem like very nice, but not too mary-suish characters but i cant really tell the difference in their personalities.
other than that, it is a lot of fun reading this story. keep it goin'!

Author's Response: Heh, yeah I get a bit carried away with the horses... :) As for Marlene, Amelia and Ariel, in my mind they are fairly different but I suppose I'll have to work on bringing that across more in the writing. (And I should probably stop giving everyone an 'A' or 'M' name) If it helps any, you see more of Hestia because she is Molly's best friend. Amelia and Marlene are also best friends, but are in different houses. Ariel, is very well liked by all but she doesn't really have a "best" friend in the group (which is why she's the one who's most accepting of Andromeda). Amelia and Marlene get on quite well as Amelia is a bit more serious and studious, Marlene's rather shy and Amelia gave her a lot of help in learning her way around the Wizarding World when they first met. Thanks for the review!

Chapter: Heart to Heart

im confused. are alice and moira 1st years? and why would they be sharing a dorm with girls in different years?

Author's Response: Yes, Alice and Moria are first years. (Well second years once the summer's over.) They're sharing a room with the older girls since I'm guessing that there aren't always the same number of girls Sorted into Gryffindor each year. In the books, we only saw how Harry's room arrangement worked, so I took a bit of creative license here and decided to make the rule that it's four or five to a room and sometimes the first years don't all room together. Anyway, Molly's two older roommates graduated the year previously so there happened to be room for two new girls. (In a different fic, I used the creative license the opposite way, as it happened to be more convenient for that story; A Fresh Start). Hope that clears everything up!
