I found this story today and read all of it in a few hours! I've found it really enjoyable, although I thought Hermione was a bit OOC at the beginning and Michael seemed a bit too easy to dislike. He seemed to have no redeeming qualities. However, as the story continued I started to see more depth to the characters and some twists in the story I definitely didn't anticipate.
I enjoyed this chapter too despite the sombre mood. I would have liked to know a bit more about how Hermione was feeling during the service but I still liked it for what it was. I'm looking forward to the next chapter :)

Thanks so much for updating. All of your characters including the ones JK Rowling created are well balanced which is fantastic. They all have flaws but we still understand what they are going through. When Michael and Hermione made up I still wanted her to dump him and return to Ron but the way you wrote it made me feel sympathetic towards Michael. I was thinking how are you going to get Ron and Hermione together now and then you killed Michael off. Very sad but I like it.
