And though some people might say it was predictable, I think Micheal's death was actually the only way out. So if I had to critique something, that would be it. But it really was the only way, given Hermione's character! Because of Jane, she couldn't kick him out.

Did I see that coming?? Definitely not! I think that that conclusion might have come to mind as I find out what the heck could possibly happen in this story, because I totally couldn't see a way out!! OMG. Michael died. !! More thoughts after. Let's start at the beginning. (a very good place to start! hee hee sound of music! :-D)
OK so last time there was an update I got a "stern talking to" for disrupting tech class by being overly enthusiastic. :-) This time, I got "oh man, you and your Harry Potter" looks, which isn't so exciting, but just as funny.
So my first reaction was POOR HERMIONE! After the absolutely insane (!!) emotional rollercoaster she has been through, why this?! I can try to imagine myself in her place, but then quickly stop because it's too confusing, hurtful and sad.
Wait, let's break it down a bit. So Hermione has a baby who she loves verrrrrry much with a man she is married to who it turns out was cheating on her before and after their marriage. She only found out for sure about his cheating after the woman he was cheating on her with gave her a racy picture. But by this point he had stopped cheating (yeah?) and tried to turn his act around and patch things up. So Hermione found out and proceeded to throw him out of the house, and later his sister as well. Then he had an accident and when he comes to, says sorry, I love you, let me make it up to you. Then he dies. (!!!) All this time, she is still in love with a man that she didn't mean to break up with, who is now in a serious relationship with another woman who is actually very nice.
AAAAAHH!! First of all, wow. You came up with all that?! Unbelievable. Second, I again say how much I don't want to be in Hermione's shoes. Again, I can't see a way out. Alll I can think of is like suicide (blech I'm way too morbid), but Hermione wouldn't leave Jane! And what to do about her guilt? Because she is obviously going to feel really bad because she never sorted things out with Michael, and now Jane doesn't have a dad. And how in the world is she going to grieve? She will be sooooo confused!! (yeah, I DEFINITELY would be too...)
Again, poor hermione.
Ok on another subject, what was Michael doing in the car with Patricia?? All my ridiculous, morbid mind can come up with is that he was going to like pitch her off a cliff because he felt so bad about losing Hermione.
Wow, what did I eat for breakfast?? :-)
Anyways, I now feel sad about Michael dying. Is that messed up? Because I was very recently like totally condemning Michael. Confusing or what!
So basically that just brings up the subject of "did Michael really change or not?" Because I think that he really did love Hermione in the end, but then what was he doing with Patricia?

Well, is Hermione smoothing things over in her head again because he totally was on a trip with Patricia while she was like DYING in the hospital!!!! If she keeps this up, she will drive herself crrrrrazy with guilt for the REST of her life!!!
But on another side, I hope that she doesn't end up totally hating Michael, because that could totally happen. She should forgive and forget. But that's really hard!!!! But her "I've embraced it" comments really give me hope. :-)
And one last comment before I sum up. I HATE ELIZABETH!! She BLAMED Hermione?!?!?!! %@#$% (many nasty words)
So basically, what will happen (with Ron in particular) at the funeral? How will Hermione get a handle on her emotions? What's really going on with Ron and Claudia? Will Elizabeth be a bleep to Hermione about all of this? Will Hermione be straddled with like insane amounts of guilt, or will she forgive and forget? Will Harry get involved? (I totally think that he needs to) What will Hermione and Beth's relationship be like? What about Jane? Will she be raised by a single mother? Will Hermione ever really be truly happy again?
and Will Ron and Hermione ever get their happily ever after? Ad what do we do about Claudia???
You have done it again!! I appreciated the amazing difficulty you had writing this chapter.
You are, again, spectacular and you should totally write a book. Actually, you could expand this and make it a book. ;-)
I can't believe that I can't come up with ANY solutions except for really improbable morbid ones. WOW! :-D
I think I will finally stop ranting, though I could go on for a while, and express how much I can't wait for the next chapter!! But I definitely understand how it would take a long time to write!

Lol now that you mention suicide, let me tell you that there was going to be a suicide attempt but a lot of things have changed so... yeah. That's changed too. I think that Michael's death was too predictable...

oh and another comment because another reviewer reminded me, im not convinced it was a car accident, but if it is then those were my theories about his death. i think he cast a spell on patricia and his dad disarmed him and maybe the spell hit the glass and rebounded on him. anyways anxiously awaiting your next chapter and review responses.

wow. that was a shock. i didnt see that coming. i didnt think you would kill him off. in patricia's office i thought u did, then u fooled me. after that i thought he would survive but that she would ultimately leave him. because i thought she would be too hung up on ron to stay. i suppose though that this makes more sense, hermione seems the devoted type that would honor her vows. im still not sure how michael died though? internal bleeding? suicide when it seemed unlikely his wife would forgive him??

Wow! I can understand your frustration with this chapter - I assume it's incredibly difficult to go back to a story after such a time, especially with real life AND twilight getting in the way. oh yes yes yes yes yes!!!! finally an update!!! i had to reread half the story just to get back in the moment, gosh love this fanfic!! a few weeks ago i was begining to mourn over it because i thought it was going on hiatus. can't believe michael's gone, but i supposed the rollercoaster had to end somewhere.. please update soon!! can't wait to see what ron does! i hope he doesn't make an issue out of how hermione only wants to be with him cause michael's dead..
