“I am one of them,” she snapped. “I will always be a Black, and there’s nothing either of us can do about it.”
Aww, it's sad how the bond is so strong on her end and not on the other.
“I can tell you that I’m not proud to be associated with you, at the moment,”
Hmm... isn't this an overreaction? I wish we got to know Andromeda more to give us some material for fanfics... was she gryffindor? They seem the most rash...
The thought of returning to her family’s mansion was appealing.
Interesting. Most people just assume that Andy is some kind of saint who loathed her family for their beliefs and was so head-over-heels in love with Ted she never gave her decision a second thought. When you think about it, this is much more realistic.
She continued to sob loudly, wondering if she would ever again have a home–a family.
This is so sad... it's a pretty simple sentence, yet it's pretty powerful.
Overall, awesome fic. I really like Avril Lavigne (she's Canada's sweetheart!!!), and this song really works with this fic. I wish you could have explored how Andy and Ted dealt with the conflict though. We know it would be a happy end eventually, but how? Maybe a part two, please?
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Roxanne.
I think Andromeda's temper is a Black trait and I doubt you'll find any Black that isn't tempermental. However, I always thought she was in Slytherin. It seemed like Sirius was the first Black to be sorted elsewhere.
And I don't buy that Andromeda left her family without ever looking back. She grew up with these people, they raised her. She has to feel some kind of connection to them.
Anyway, thanks again for another lovely review.
Terrific story--you have written so many so fast! I didn't look at your profile for a few weeks and suddenly you have like ten other stories!
But this one is amazing. It's wonderful and has lots of emotion. The lyrics also go perfectly with the story. Terrific!
Author's Response: Awww...I've had the crappiest day, and I haven't any reviews for awhile, then I came on to find this. You totally made my day. :D
I'm glad you enjoyed my little peek at Andromeda and Ted. Thanks so much for the review. :D
Hmm...interesting. Andromeda is definitely in a tough position, whether she and Ted are fighting or not. Nice story...
Cold pizza and Harry Potter fan fiction at 4:19 a.m. What more could you ask for?
Author's Response: Yes, Andromeda is a tough place. I have always felt bad for her, and wondered just how she felt about her family. I can't imagine that she could just start hating them. It doesn't seem logical.
Thanks so much for the review!
As for what could be better, I would say hot pizza and Harry Potter fan fic at 4:19 a.m. I am a night hawk, but not such a fan of cold pizza. :)
Author's Response: Ummm...I would really appreciate more in a review. Like why was it weird? This is hardly helpful to me.
I never thought about how Andromeda might have second thoughts like this, but you described this so well. Great work!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I always assumed that Andromeda would have second thoughts. It's human nature to question your decisons, especially when things aren't going that well.
OOOHhh, lovely, lovely! It's going on my favorites. I'm beggining to like Andromeda more and more because of your writing, and this fic makes me wonder what would have happened if she had chosen to remain with her sisters, or if her sisters had followed her path in life. It's very interesting. Again, great job, you've written another one of my favorite!
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad you liked it. I actually grow to like Andromeda more and more as I write her too. She's kind of a mysterious character. Thanks again for reviewing.
