Wow! I really liked this poem. It makes so much sense. I just don't understand the "but now I am happy" line. What is that supposed to mean. Is there something I am missing, not understanding.

Author's Response: The line essentially means that she is trying to content herself with what she has left, and not sinking into the depths of her misery. I did try to make it sound more like the optimistic Hermione we know, but it came out rather confusing, I suppose. Thanks for reviewing, I'm glad you liked it! :)

Very nice poem, Blossomlily! It was very original, too. At first I thought it would talk about someone instead of something :)

I yearn for the lessons

my friend patiently taught me.

But they’re now just chapters

in my colourless memory.



Ah, this stanza was my favourite. It just resumes her feelings so well! I believe you were really succesful to capture Hermione's feelings, and for that, I bow before you :) Good job!
