This was a nice first chapter. It's an easy but exciting read, especially since you ended it with a cliffie.

I like how Luna's sort of grownup, but she's also the dreamy person she is in the books.

Famos reminds me of Mundungus. He's certainly an unpleasant character.

Oh, no! What's wrong with Luna? Perhaps a certain golden-haired magic Muggle will know...

This was a very lovely chappie, even if it did end with an evil cliffie. Again, nice characterization of Luna.

Anyone to posess the cruelty, the hubris and the cowardice of Draco Malfoy and renounce it all earnestly and remorsefully years later is a sight to behold. One becoming sensitive and sweet to boot is a sight to behold even moreso.

I really enjoyed reading this story! It's different, but very good. I can't wait for more chapters to read.

Very lovely story, Marauder by Midnight (Beth). I have a couple of things to say.

First of all, I'm a bit confused with your present characterization of Luna. In canon, she's almost always dreamy, far away, and with a vague expression on her face. Why is she suddenly so like this? Is it because she assumes a false personality at school, and this is her true side? I understand that this is only the first 6 chapters, and there's a complicated background behind this fic, but why?

Also, I think you characterization of Draco as a not-so-redeemed but still in some sense good (so far) Death Eater. Draco IS a Death Eater, but I think that, after the defeat of Voldemort, the way you show he wants to clear his name, etc. is very nice.

What I found rather odd was that Draco would kidnap Luna, of all people. I understand she's a reporter, but, couldn't he just kidnap...I don't know, Rita Skeeter?

Author's Response: My portrayal of Luna is there for a reason; as mentioned, Luna recently went through a very traumatic event where her husband Ron had attacked her dreamy character verbally when she had been attempting to do good. She realizes how much harm her dreamy character does and represses it, as you see in the story. However, sometimes that old character will slip out.

Draco not only kidnaps Luna for the story but also because his outside connection, as portrayed in the first chapter, thought Luna was asking too many questions about Draco.
