Chapter: Chapter 40: The Turn of the Tide
excellent story, original twists and turns. Would have liked to have known that Neville was okay after the "mind probe" and I would have like to have seen a scene with him and his parents reuniting.
Author's Response: Yeah, I can see that. I'm not sure how I could write the reunion without it being schlockier than how one might imagine it. Nevillle's so understated, compared to Harry, it might almost be embarassing to see him in such an intense moment.

Chapter: 49: The Man Who Lived
who did harry marry?was it Tura? if not who is the nan??
Author's Response: Harry didn't marry anyone. Snape and Tura got married and had a son named Harry Snape. His son, Harry Snape, Jr, was the boy you met in the epilogue. Tura is the nan. Harry was a little too damaged by what happened to trust anyone (including himself) again enough to fall in love and get married.

Chapter: Chapter 7: For Better
I'm only up to Chapter 7 so far, but I just have to say, this is probably the best Harry Potter fanfiction I've read! I love the humor and the way your own writing style emanates through JKR's characters.
I just wanted to say as well that I almost died of happiness when I read Harry's Sealer speech. Beren and Luthien? One of the best stories ever!
Also, I'm from Russia and I always cringe at the way people stereotype Russian people. But your portrayal of the Russian witches earlier on was fantastic. I realize that they didn't appear for very long and didn't actually have substantial lines, but it means a lot to me that they weren't wearing fur hats and drinking Vodka.
Great story! Can't wait to read the rest!
Author's Response: Thanks! LOL, I've been to your country and I found most people wearing gorgeous shawls and drinking kvass. Hee hee! I hope you liked the rest of the story as much.

Chapter: Chapter 1: The Calm
Hey, first of I just wanted to say I loved your story, it was amazing. Tura is possibly the most versatile and amazing character I have come across in both Jk's books and yours.
I also wanted to know how I can order your published version of this book?
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! As for the book: It's a PRINTED version, not a PUBLISHED version--very important difference! And there are a few copies available if you'd like one--send me a PM (click on my author name and it will give you the option to send a message) and I'll give you the details.

I just noticed that your story's word count was 330330 and thought that was funny. You're number 1 on the Top Ten List of Longest Stories.
Author's Response: That IS cute--but I deleted half of Chapter 43 the other day while I was trying to edit it--and the site won't let me re-post it! So the word count--and the story--is missing a big chunk...!

-OMG- -SQUEE- Well I WAS going to go to bed and finish the rest tomorrow (it's already 2:30am here!) but I just possibly CAN'T now!!!
Author's Response: LOL, well, it'll be there tomorrow, too. But yeah, it's nice to see this mystery come to an end, huh?

Chapter: Chapter 17: The Killing Curse
Another well written chapter! I don't know if you mentioned it somewhere earlier in the story, or if someone asked it in the reviews and you answered (I'd rather get back to reading than flip through the MANY pages of reviews) but exactly how old is Ondossi?
She's a brilliant character - not at all Mary-Sue like I think you thought she might be when you mentioned it in an earlier A.N. She makes me laugh like all of the time. I love her. Seriously, she's brilliant.
Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Cool! Thanks! Tura is 27 (you'll find that out specifically in Ch.31 or so), making her 10 years older than Harry. Given Wizard lifespans, that's hardly a drop in the bucket...

This chapter was, like, seriously, WOW. It shows your amazing writing skills and how much creativity and thought you've given in this story. It's definately keeping me interested into seeing where the rest of this story is going. Once again, AMAZING JOB!!!!!!!
Author's Response: Cool! That was one of my favorite chapters too--I really liked playing with the idea of the founders and how they chose the spot for Hogwarts. And how the past connects to the present, and... well, you get the idea.

Chapter: 49: The Man Who Lived
Aw... it's finally over. It's been so long! I can remember last year, getting up early and reading this before I headed off into the day. Arguing with my friend about it. Theorising. Waiting and waiting during that drought of updates.
Thanks for writing a fic that's helped bridge the gap for me: first, from HBP to DH, and then after, from DH into the future. I've enjoyed it nearly as much as DH (the only thing against it is that you're not Jo, sorry); I've probably reread it as much.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tale. Thanks again.
(I think I'll order one of those books.)

Author's Response: Thanks! Cool! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! Well, if you want to order one, I just figured out the costs, so send me a PM or an email and I'll get you the info. I hope to put in the print order in 2 weeks.

Chapter: 49: The Man Who Lived
So what happen to Harry and the trio
Did harry every get married?
I loved the story i was just hoping for a little more in the end kind of telling what happen to them?
Author's Response: Well, you get to imagine it, which is good. I don't think Harry ever married, just because it seems like the truly powerful wizards like Dumbledore (and Voldy) end up alone. Plus I think the act of killing Tura kind of haunted him for a long time. Ron marries Luna and Herms marries Viktor, and of course Snape gets Tura 2.0.

Chapter: 49: The Man Who Lived
IN RE your response to the previous review, I thought JKR did explain why DD had James's cloak. (I thougt it was a pretty anticlimactic reason, but a reason nevertheless.) No spoilers here, but this was one of the mysteries she did resolve. (I agree that DH failed to tie up many other loose ends, however.)
Author's Response: *shrugs* She might have--I must've forgotten it. I was so unimpressed with DH that I was pretty much skimming it after the first couple of chapters.

Chapter: 49: The Man Who Lived
i went a bit too far with the total crap thing but it was a bit of a let down after the rest of the story and left me feeling a bit let down alot like the original hp 7th book maybe it was that i didnt want it to end but it seemed to me that you could have given atleast one more chapter before it and only finished there so that you could publish it. over all i think it was a great story but this last story did not live up tho the rest of the book.
also i did not want nor need for it to be spoon fed i kinda guessed what happened but i guess i feel it would prob have been better leaving it at the chapter before as you could have probably guessed what happened from that.
Author's Response: LOL, no worries--I sensed you were mainly disappointed. Well, the thing is, it's gotta end SOMEWHERE. You can't just keep telling the story forever. In my mind, a good story ends when all the little mysteries are solved. That was what I hated about DH, actually, was that it didn't really solve any of the overall story arc mysteries--what happened during the Missing 24 Hours on Nov. 1, 1980; how did Dumbledore end up with James's invisibility cloak; what was up with the Horks (why a cheap Muggle diary??) etc. So I tried to wrap those up, and others, and then at the very end, wrap up the mysteries I introduced, like what happened to Tura. All that got done, I thought, by Chapter 48. Telling any more would have been overkill. I only needed the epilogue to clarify that Snape got the girl and Harry went on to have a productive, if somewhat lonely, life. I mean, what more is there to say?

Chapter: Chapter 1: The Calm
I'm thinking there is no way on earth for two children raised and educated as muggles till they were 11 in England no less would mention Hitler in a manner that says they don't really know who he was. Hermione in particular. They did teach them history from kindergarten, or whatever it is in England, on up. And really, I do think Harry would have a bit more of a clue as to how to use a cell phone. Other than that, well written, though I am wondering about what Harry is thinking regarding Ginny.
Author's Response: Yeah, I changed that part about Hitler for the final version--I wrote it that way to get my kids talking about history a little, but it did seem pretty OOC. But for cell phones--this took place in 1997, when they weren't quite as much of an everyday phenomenon, and I gotta say, I still don't know how to use one and I've been around them! Harry certainly wouldn't have one of his own from the Dursleys, and I doubt anyone at Hogwarts had one. And I doubt that, after Harry became a wizard, he even bothered snooping through Dudley's gadgets anymore. Anything invented after 1989 would probably be foreign to Harry.

Chapter: 49: The Man Who Lived
well i loved the fic! the whole thing I though it was just fantactic. You are amazingly talented. I agree with a few people the ending didn't do much for me, i feel like there should have been another chapter in between the last 2. I would have liked that just to wrap things up a bit as far as the other relationships go apart from Harrys. But I liked the "Epilogue" I agree with you that we need to use our imaginations. What is the fun in bein spoon fed! Lol. Congratulations on an amazing story, i look forward to when its published and i get my copy which reminds me i must email you now! I am very sad there is no more to the story. Thanks so much Fi :-)
Author's Response: Another chapter: Eh, maybe, but I like it this way. I mean, there can be too much of a good thing, ya know? You know Tura ended up with Snape--who wants to read about Harry's inevitable heartbreak when she chooses the other man? He obviously gets over it and finds solace in Quidditch. Plus as he got older, he kinda reclaimed his tendency to help and serve others by becoming a Healer--so that bitterness and angst from killing Voldemort finally resolved itself too. There's a lot of story tucked in there, you just have to read between the lines.

not that i dont like the story i do love it but this last chapter is complet crap it does not tell you anything who did harry get wiv??
Author's Response: Well, "complet crap" isn't exactly constructive criticism... I thought it was perfect. You're supposed to use some imagination and dream for yourselves where they all went, not just have me spoon-feed it to you. Harry ended up alone, which is why he looks sad on his Frog Card.
