Author's Response: Thank you so much. I really liked that chapter as well! I don't think the MInistry has time to check up on Hermione, well that's what I'm banking on anyway. I also think the Unforgivable Curses are illegal to use on other wizards...note the fake Moody had no problem using them on spiders...
Right, you asked for brutal reviews. I'm sorry, but so far, I can't give you one. You avoid progressing too fast (which ruins a good story more than anything else for me), and the characters feel accurate enough to not cause them to seem disjointed or out of place. I look forward to seeing how you handle all the Horcruxes. Very well done so far.

I agree that fast progression can ruin a story (plus it's not the JKR way!) and I'm glad you like my characterizations because I work hard on them... The first Horcrux chapter is one of my more successful (I think) it's not as romantic, which is where this story is listed, but it has a great feel to it...anyway, I'm hoping it does. So, when you read it, please let me know if it held to your standards. (Thinking up how to destroy Horcruxes, when even Hermione can't find a definition of them, has been difficult....but, I think I made it work... :)
