That was pretty funny. I liked how Mary Sue immediately had a nickname for everybody and how she was sure that all the guys had been a past love. And, I liked that Dumbledore was her grandfather--or how did her grandmother put it--the best mistake she ever made. The ending was wonderful. All of her past lovers were there to see her go. Duh--I finally figured out who Michael Sheen was. He was the Volturi who did most of the talking. He did a good job--if you can get past the red eyes. I'm not sure if I'll read much more tonight because I have to get some stuff done before tomorrow. But, I'll see you tomorrow for sure. Loved this story.
Author's Response:And all her "past loves" were fictional characters! Only Mary Sue, heehee. The "favorite mistake" reminded me of a Sheryl Crowe song. I couldn't resist!
I didn't read the books, so I have a sketchy knowledge of plot and can't remember if the Volturi are the bad guys or the police of vampires...maybe both?
Have a productive night and sweet dreams!
ps, Fynn is officially immortalized. :D
Most of the time, the whole thing just made me laugh and think, "What?" It was hysterical. I wish I was Mary Sue...great job!
Author's Response: Mary Sue is supposed to be an author insert or wish I was her character. Why on earth would a writer want their Sue to be drab, an outcast, or have a tragic ending? Masochism? Low self esteem? The least they can do is make their Sue funny and get with all the guys so readers can both laugh at her and have a little vicarious enjoyment! :D
This is my 2nd time reading it, I can never get enough! Great job! ( I read the sequel, its brilliant)
Author's Response: Wow, thank you! I actually wrote this one second, and had a little more fun, a little less therapy with it. :D
You pulled off another great work of humour. It was fantastic.
Author's Response: Happy New Year!I'm using humour to lighten an angsty romance these days, but if I ever get around to writing a Mary Sue: Founders Love You! medieval romance novel parody, your review will be one of my motivating forces!
I hope that you are aware of the fact that you are insane. Brilliant beyond compare, but insane. Keep up the good work.
Author's Response: It's remarkable how often those two traits coincide! :DNo wonder I love Jack Sparrow...he has such good lines, LOL.
Thanks, mate!
I read the sequel to this prequel, and they just go hand in hand. I love your sense of hmour!
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! I figure if such a creature as Mary Sue has to exist, the least she can do is make us laugh...and get her hands on every hottie at Hogwarts, LOL.
Groovy story. I digged how you wrote the 'love' Moonbeam had for all those lovers. But seriously your writing was outstanding and kept me laughing all the way. I love how make a bad horror story Mary Sue into a comedy Mary Sue. You've definately got talent. Here's a suggestion, a Sue in Tom Riddle/ Early Death Eater time. lol. With all those evil characters that Mary Sue will want to share her love with. lol. Far out man.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading my Sue parodies! ^_^ I have the idea to write a Mary Sue, Founders Love You! story, but I'm waiting for that spark of inspiration, because you really do need it to 'be the Sue' LOL. Peace....and I love you, man! :D
The end reads nice while listening to "The Year Three Thousand" ! Her name is even better than the previous one, but why didn't you change Evangelista to.. erm... Embriette or something ^_^ Anyways, this is SO seventies, lovely ^_^
Author's Response: Thanks! Her last name is the same because....aren't all Mary Sues related? LOL. Thanks for the review, you are groovy in a far-out happenin' kind of way! ^_^
*smirk*
Hippie Mary-Sue... Now, there's a new one! xD Loved it- Harlot... *chortles*
Anyhow... Great one, again! I'll have to go see if there's any more.
~Juli
Author's Response: Grazie infinite! The first story was written for Sue-Therapy, lol, and this continued the 'healing', snicker, snicker.
I laughed myself silly! *takes a deep breath* Really funny and very true. The number of serious fics that read like this *shakes head* ...
Author's Response: Merci! The thing they leave out, though, is romantic moments! I mean, c'mon, if you're gonna give readers a Sue, give them a Sue who gets some romantic action, please. Sheesh! :D
hahahaha awesome. you know your Mary Sue
Author's Response: I actually like mine more than lots of others, since I firmly believe if she's going to have all the guys panting after her, the least she can do is snog them all to give the reader some small satisfaction! :D
AWWW!!!! *sob* this one was awsome!!! *sob* it made me cry!!! *sob*... this one was really cool, and i liked it a lot better than the first one!!!
-Jessie
Author's Response: Ta, Thanks! I think flower-power Mary Sue wasn't quite as big a tart as the present day one, but she went through all the guys just the same, lol.
She's a hippie! that's very creative! .)
Author's Response: Thanks dude (or dudette, :D). I had a groovy time writing, so I'm stoked you enjoyed it. Peace! LOL
lmao, were ppl really that wierd in the 70s? lol, great job!
Author's Response: Thank you! ^_^
lmao, were ppl really that wierd in the 70s? lol, great job!
Author's Response: From what I can tell from old movies and old rock groups, yes they were, LOL.
That was beautiful! You should write more!
Author's Response: I will write a Mary Sue, Founders love you! story one day, but for now, a R/T fic, D/G fic, Sirius fic, and a Snape fic keep me busy, LOL. Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed the story, and especially for wanting more! ^_^
Amusing and amazing! Great job, kerichi!
"Grampy" Dumbledore. That was the funniest part! *rotfl*
Author's Response: Thank you! Just the thought of the look on his face when she called him Grampy. *giggles madly* (My mental image of him is still Richard Harris- he had the best voice and the twinkle down pat! ^_^)
Now your making fun of Aquarians? Even so, this was even funnier then the first! I love how you used the faeries from A Tale of Two Matchmakers in this story. She had a lot of lovers in a past life, didn't she?
Author's Response: She had a lot of past lives, lol. I did have fun putting Puck & co. in- he's such a little Draco! ^_^
Oh good heavens. I don't think I've ever seen so much 70's lingo. That was....radical? Hehe. Great job, even though Mary Sue is someone I don't ever want to meet. Eek. Hehe. I almost can't beleive this was you writing, and yet I can. Great work, again.
Author's Response: Thanks, man! It would be awesome to make Tonks say 'bitchin' but, like, out of character, so bummer, no can do. :D Even in Sue parody, I have to have kissing parts, hehheh. Later, dude! ^_^
Unworthy reader that I am, I gravel at your feet. I mean grovel.
Poor Rosaline; Romeo dumped her immediately, didn't he? I don't recognize Svengali and Trilby: can you give me a hint?
Once again, a well-executed effort to make your personal fanbase barf--but in a good way. ;)
What did Mary-Sue's parents do when she didn't come back? Assume that her very existence was the product of a drug haze? Or what?
Author's Response: George Du Maurier (Daphne's dad, :D) wrote Trilby about a model who is mesmerized by the evil Svengali and lured away from her 'love' to become his obsession/singer/ meal ticket, lol. I have to confess seeing the old film with John Barrymore on late night cable rather than reading the novel. He had freaky eyes! Rosaline dumped Romeo, but he forgot her once he saw Juliet....does that make him a Gary Stu? snicker. Mary Sue's parents called it karma and held a seance to contact her, but got Buddy Holly instead, who asked them to please stop singing Mary Sue instead of Peggy Sue! :D
