Author's Response: Actually, it didn't. I always had a feeling about who Dani Califnornia was. I always knew she was a badass vying for adventure, and she gets it at a terrible price and that is her best friends life. Two things promted me to write this fic. One was a person on the forums who wanted to see this type of fic. The other stemmed from my disappointment for the music video for Dani California. Now, I am not dissing the RHCP, but I thought that the music video was going to choronicle the life of a woman and her life of adventure. I guess I was wrong. And thank you very much for reviewing. I really appreciated it.
