Oooh! I loved it! this chapter was great! & It at least had some good stuff for Marie. I can't wait till next chapter & the Dinner with the Lestranges!
I had forgot to add the other stories to my favourite list, so I had no idea you had updated them. I'm running to get to them now!
Author's Response: Happy reading ^_^. Thank you for the review, and I'm happy you liked the chapter.
Yaaaayyyyy!!!!! thanks for the update.
I love your story, I just don't know how it will resolve itself. right now I haven't even decided whether I like marie or not.
Author's Response: That's a good reaction actually :). Marie-Antoinette isn't a very simple character; on some aspects she's very much like Lestrange, as a matter of fact. Thanks for the review!
I absolutely loved that chapter, Lali sounds adorable (well... for a house elf...) Good luck with your school work, and I hope you can update again soon!
~Marie (ha ha, how ironic) ;)
Author's Response: I'm sorry, but I won't be able to update again soon. Song of the Trees is next on my list now, Symphony for Quartet is right behind it, and then (and only then) I will update MA again. And it can take a long time, given the ridiculous amount of spare time I have. Thanks for the review anyway, I'm happy you like Lali.
THANK YOU FOR UPDATING!!! And...HURRY UP MODS!!!! ^_^
Author's Response: You're welcome! :)
Just describing my enthusiasm.
Author's Response: I had understood that =). Hopefully the chapter will be validated soon.
Author's Response: :D
Your writing is so richly strung together, word by word, and your storytelling is captivating. I think it's hard to write an Alternate Universe story, but I'm loving this. Your ideas are great and keep me curious as to what you've decided will happen next.
I really felt that this chapter was handled so well. There are so many emotional points in here, and you wrote them nicely. She has to say goodbye to her best friend, her new boyfriend, a teacher she trusts, and all of the world that she's known. I love the parallels between this Marie, and the historical Marie. I'm eager to continue with this story.
I must also compliment you on your writing, as I believe (unless I'm remembering wrong) that English isn't your native language. As I said, I'm anxious to read more, and so I shall.
Author's Response: Thanks a lot for the review; I have to plan this story very carefully for it to make sense so your praise means a lot to me.
I am French, so no, English isn't my native language. I am greatly helped by my Beta though. Thanks again for the review, and I'm trying to update right now so you may expect something... in a week or two...
Oh, and I am looking forward to the time when you can work on this again. :)
Author's Response: Me too!
I've already reviewed this story on fanfiction.net, but such a great story can never have too many reviews. And I wanted to ask, did you draw those pictures on your profile page yourself? Because if you did, I'm even more impressed at how talented you are than I already was (and believe me, I am very impressed that you can write such an excellent story in a language that isn't even your native language). Also, congratualtions on winning all those QQ awards! I think you won more than any other author. And you totally deserve them!
Author's Response: Yes, I did draw the pictures on my profile page :). Thanks for the compliments! I've won one Award and was runner-up for a second (and a third, but this particular story was replaced by another one at the last minute), so yeah, I was really excited about those at the time. Thank you again for the nice review.
This is extrordinary! It's really well written, and beautifuly imagined. I can't belive we have to wait so long! This is definatly one of my favoorites...
Author's Response: I'm sorry for the long wait, I really am; I'm trying to write chapter 5 as it is, but I can't seem to find the time. Thank you for the review, I'm happy you like the story.
WOW! very Descriptive. Only, I dont Have a clue about what is going on! Why are James and sirus and lily there? Is this story a sequel or a prequel? Why do you enjoy torturing me so? Other wise< its very good!
Author's Response: Hum... It is an AU. Alternate Universe. Taking place in 1983. Premise: Voldemort *didn't* go after the Potters; not having heard about the prophecy, he left them alone but won the war. Clear now?
Thanks for the review.
oh this story is getting really good... *adding to favorites list*... ok im back now you can go ahead and pat your self on the back... good job!
Author's Response: *pats self on the back*
Thanks for the review! :D
wow...I'm french, and learning french history in humongous depth, and your Marie-Antoinette parallelism pops out of the page neatly but not too obviously...
Author's Response: Aïe... I'm French too, and I hope I won't make too glaring mistakes in French history. :) Thanks for the review.
Ooh, I was right! SIrius is going to be her friend! I'm so excited for her!
It's so nice that he's being kind to her, and I loved the bit with the garden. I looked at your profile, so I know that you won't be able to update, but it'll be more-than-interesting when you do.
Author's Response: Thanks for all the reviews, and I hope I'll manage to update in the coming weeks. I'm happy you're so excited about the developments of the story.
Oh, poor Marie-Antoinette. I was happy for her when she was "winning" against Bellatrix, and sad for her most of the rest of the time. I do wish that people had been a bit nicer to her, but the way they view her is only human.
As bad as I feel for James, he could have been nicer to her, but he's too angry and too upset, as is natural. I was glad that Sirius treated her semi-kindly, though. She needs a friend, even if it doesn't turn out to be him. And, as for Pomy, I can't decide whose behavior was worse. Probably Marie's, though both Pomy and Marie's behavior was justified.
I think that one of the things I like best about this is how everyone acts exactly according to their personality, according to their nature.
Author's Response: Hey, I'm glad you mentioned Marie-Antoinette's attitude towards Pomy; you're the first one to do so! She did behaved quite arrogantly, didn't she? Heh... I don't like perfect characters. I'm happy you like the characterisation in general. Thanks for the review!
Oh, my God. I feel so terrible for James, who's had his wife and infant son taken away from him, and for Marie, who is so young (a weird thing for me to say, on some levels, because she's about two years older than me.) and so confused.
This is a very intelligently written story, and I'm really enjoying reading it. This chapter, I think, was my favorite so far!
Author's Response: Thanks a lot, I'm happy you like the story. I'm also glad you can relate to Marie-Antoinette's reactions, it probably means they're realistic. There will be lighter moments in the story, I promise, so you won't have to feel terrible all the time.
Wow. You translated that? As a person and as a French student, I am very, very impressed! No wonder you did such a good job with all the French names! I would assume that you speak fluent French?
I can't imagine being sent to another country to marry a man I didn't even know. I'd be frightened out of my wits and nervous as all get out, just like Marie (and, come to think of it, the real Marie-Antoinette). Thinking of that, I can really empathize with her. Great job!
Author's Response: I AM French, as a matter of fact; so yeah, that would mean I speak fluent French :). Thanks for the review.
Interesting, very much so. I can't wait to see where this goes. It's quite intriguing, and I don't think that using "sorbet citron" is unimaginative- it's got a certain something to it, it's kind of, I don't know, spunky-seeming to borrow that.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I hope I'll be able to update soon–I have to keep you interested.
love love love!
are there only 5 chapters?
I'm waiting for more!
total fan although AU is not my thing...I still LUV it!
Author's Response: I'm trying to give you more. Thanks for the review!
please continue! i love it!
Author's Response: Trying; thanks for the review!
