Chapter: The Burgundy Quill

Mmmh, very mysterious and utterly compelling. His constant mumbling and calling himself "you fool" is brilliant; at the beginning you're unsure whether he's talking to himself or someone else, but his obvious madness by the end is unnerving. Very well written, excellent.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Lucky! This is actually my first one-shot and my first challenge entry, so I wasn't sure how it would come across. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though, it sounds as if it came across exactly as I'd hoped it would. :)

Wow. Powerful imagery. I was hooked completely.

Author's Response: When a reader's first word is 'wow', I know I can be happy. :) Thanks for the review!

It was awesome. Sadistic, humorless, but awesome. I serioiusly think that you should send a collection of your short stories to a publisher.

Author's Response: It's amazing how interesting it can be going into the mind of someone completely on their rocker, but meh, that's life. Now, if only publishers took fanfiction. ;) Thank you though, that means a lot!
