Chapter: Chapt 4 - School Days

Alicia must have inherited her mother's talent and power. Either that or she's doing the uncontrolled magic that young children do. This seems to be more powerful magic though--she just doesn't seem to know she can do it. There also seems to be a connection to Snape. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Yes, she inheritted her mother and grandmother's magic, but it's stronger. You'll find out just how strong later in the stories. As for Snape...ooo la la... Dani

Chapter: Chapt 3 - Getting To Know You

So is Alicia able to project her thoughts. It seemed like she's done that a couple of times--first with her grandfather and then with Snape. I thought for a minute you were going to tie the Ravenclaw Prefect in with Luna Lovegood. Wouldn't her parents be in school now? I'd make a horrible Ravenclaw because I'm bad at riddles. I'd spend most of my time out in the hallways arguing with the door knocker:D Although, in one sorting test I took I was sorted into Ravenclaw. I expected to go into Slytherin. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Yes, Alicia can project her thoughts but can't control it yet (and doesn't even really realize wht she's doing although she's starting to figure things out). I didn't want to bring in too many other characters yet. Others will appear. Dani

Chapter: Chapt 2 - Things I Must Know

I thought maybe Alicia's parents had died in an explosion or something like that. All I can say is, again, people die because of their association with Dumbledore, I remember Tom Riddle's threats against Catherine when she was a baby. I think that, about this time, I'd be saying "I'm going back to Italy." Great chapter.

Author's Response: Good connection. Ya, I'd be heading home too. The next story takes place almost exclusively in Italy. I learned some Italian to write it. :-) Dani

Chapter: And So It Begins...

I wasn't sure if you had edited the stories on this site. So I thought I'd read here and maybe compare on ff. Do we find out about Alicia's parents and what happened to them? And where is Elizabett? Look at me--all full of questions and you've just started this book:D So far I like it. Great chapter.

Author's Response: Sorry. No. I haven't started upgrading on this site yet. However, this story is complete on FF.net, and I'm up to chapt 15 in Life in the Interim. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish that one this week. The story focuses on a new character (my original), but I've made a few connections here and there. Elizabett makes only a brief appearance. You'll find out why eventually. Dani

Chapter: And So It Begins...

I just re-read quickly to look for any Lily clues (yes, I'm a bit obsessed). IIRC, Lily and Severus's argument was in fifth year, so it was prior to this story. I am very curious to see how you are going to integrate that storyline into yours, especially the business with Severus's Patronus and such. I'm sure I will be thouroughly satisfied with whatever you choose to write.

Author's Response: My response ended up as a review. Go figure. You'll have to wait until chapter 59 to get your answer. :-)

Chapter: Epilogue

This was such a fantastic story, I can't wait to read the sequel. Alicia is such a unique character, you've done an excellent job integrating her into the lives of the others, who I'm happy to note were all very much in character. I'm slightly annoyed with Dumbledore, he appears to have done the same with Alicia as he did with Harry, use her to further his own ends, even if he is on the right side, he still has a cheek. This and you are going on my favourites.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. It's so nice to see that this story is still being read. It was my very first fanfic. I truly believe that there was so much left out of JKR's work that someone had to fill inn some of the blanks. All three stories keep the characters in cannon and follow JKR's books closely. They're the stories under the stories. Enjoy and keep in touch.

the only bad thing about this is dumbledore is gay! :(

Author's Response: When the story was written two years ago, Dumbledore's sexual preference was not an issue. Since JKR made the statement this past summer, there has been criticism. However, historically, homosexually often married and had families in order to conform to society's norms.rnI hope you continue reading and enjoy the trilogy.rnrnDani

Chapter: And So It Begins...

Just spent the last 2 nights reading all your works, Creating a Ghost, Life in the Interim, Life in the Shadows. I can't tell you how wonderful this story is, and how wonderful to see Severus come to life in your writing.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. Life in the Shadows is the longest piece yet. I've just finished writing it, and it reached 64 chapters. Eekkk!!! I hope you're patient with MNFF the next xhapter is in line for validation. Dani

Chapter: Epilogue

Hello!

I must say I read this story in one go and I was, still am, very impressed. Severus was spot-on, I loved Alicia and the Marauders. The plot was very original. I was shocked by the ending and now I'm off to read parts 2 and 3 to see what had happened.

You did a great job with every aspect of this fic. I hope you continue writing! And sorry I didn't review on each chapter, I was too caught up id the wonderful story.

~Nez

Author's Response: It's quite a compliment to hear that you were too caught up to review. I'd rather you read it and enjoy it first. That's what it's there for. This is the cake. The comments are the icing. I hope you continue reading and enjoy parts 2 and 3 just as much. They are considerably longer. Part 3 is incomplete and is up to 450 pages already. Yeek! But it covers a lot of ground. Thanks again for the lovely review, Dani

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review. It's good to see that people are still reading it. It was the first of a trilogy (the third of which is still being written) and the first FF I ever wrote. I hope you enjoy the others as well. Dani

I love your story. The parts with Severus are my favorite. I'm a Severus Sucker (i know, sad nickname but i cant come up with catchy phrases). I am slightly confused about the ending. From what i gather, Malfoy is torturing her to get info, finds none, and hands her over to Severus. Am i ok so far? Then Severus sedates her for fear of killing her with pain as he takes her back to Dumbledore. When they try to save her they realize she will never heal and will die horribly if they keep trying. So they decorate something resembling a shrine to show respect to her in death and burn her. She is half dead already so it doesn't hurt to much and is over within seconds. I think the last part was mysterious and a good ending. Sorry for such a long message, i just wanted to make sure i understood. Write more, i love it!!!!!!

Author's Response: This is part 1 of 3. On the funeral pyre, Dumbledore slips something into Alicia's hand. It activagtes and gets her out of there before the flames hit. I think you'll really enjoy part 2 - Life in the Interim. Thanks for the review. Dani

i really enjoyed that piece but i was slightly unclear about the ending? was she dead before they burned her or did they just think she was dead? if u coud let me no that would be gr8 x

Author's Response: No problem. Snape saved her from the Death Eaters and brought her battered body back to Dumbledore. They staged her funeral (Dumbledore pressed something into her hand before the others carried her body to the pire) thus, "creating a ghost". This was the only way for her to survive. Part 2 - Life in the Interim, will help clarify any other confusion. Thanks for the review and I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Dani

This was such a wonderful fanfic. I'm afraid that I didn't like the ending too much though.... I feel so bad for Severus and I wanted more information about what happened to him after Alicia left :(
But anyway, really good fanfic....

P.S- ever think of becoming a
profesional writer? You would be really good at it!

Author's Response: Part 2 -" Life in the Interim" may satisfy your Snape need. "Creating a Ghost" was part 1 of 3 and the stories get longer. I hope you continue to read and review and thank you for the compliment. I fell into this on a dare and it took off! Enjoy! Dani

wow...way to end this story.

throughout the story I really thought that alicia and lupin were going to end up together but honestly I'm glad you sorted her into ravenclaw and she liked snape cuz there are just so many fics of OCs liking remus etc. I really like how there was so much more meat to the story than just romance.

I'm really excited to see where the sequel goes. I'm sorry i didn't read this story before...

Author's Response: I'm sorry I didn't respond before. I read the review and filed it by accident. Let me know what you think of the sequels. I'm a huge Snape fan (Lupin follows close behind) but they definately needed an original character. Enjoy! Dani

Oh my....only the first chapter and I'm already intrigued. Your writing is wonderful--everything flows together so smoothly...I love it!

Author's Response: Welcome to the new kid on the block! Thank you for the compliment. I hope I can keep you interested. This is Part 1 of 3, so keep reading. Dani

I'm not sure if you're still reading reviews, but this story is REALLY GOOD! Normally I don't read stories untill they're finised --because I can't stand suspense-- but I may stert the sequel anyway because I can't wait!

Author's Response: I check my e-mail daily and always read and answer the reviews. I completely understand about the waiting issue. I'm the same way. Part 2 is complete but I can only post one chapter at a time and I post once a week. Part 3 is also being written. :-) Happy reading and I hope you continue to enjoy the stories. I love writing them!

Chapter: Epilogue

This is one of the best stories I've ever read. Normally, you'd see a story about a random character meeting the Marauders and going with them on all their escapades, but this was different. It was really, /really/ good. Pleasepleaseplease hurry with Part 2! =D

Author's Response: Drum roll, please. Part 2 - Life in the Interim has begun. The Prologue was validated earlier this week and chapter 1 is waiting to be validated. Reviews help encourage me to write. If I don't get feedback, I have no way of knowing whether I'm on the right track, if people like what they read or whether people are reading at all. Thank you for letting me know. This story has been in my head for a long time and it's coming out pretty quick. Part 2 is already 120 pages long and growing. The longest story I've ever written. Part 3 is still in my head, struggling to get out. I hope you continue to enjoy it.
