Chapter: Chapter 21: Heroes, Part 2

Remus watched on with satisfaction as Greyback fell to the ground. That should give Harry at least a good head start. He felt the energy leave his body as his wounds painfully reminded him of his own predicament. Remus felt his body shudder and his wand hand fell to his side. Someone picked the wand and stood over him. He saw those familiar emerald eyes staring back at him.

“Harry, go. It‘s too late to save me,” he gasped.

The young man disappeared from sight and Remus noticed that the light was becoming dimmer. The moon would be up soon and for the first time he could remember, he welcomed it with a smile as he realized he would never again have to face the change into that brute of a creature. Finally after all of these years he was free. A vision of beauty filled his sight as he remembered every curve and line of his life. Her name rested on his lips as he took his last breath, “Sugar Pops.”
i claim this! i claim Moony's death! *sobs*

Great story, looking forward to seeing the rest.

Author's Response: Dear Reader, I am writing to inform you that I will no longer be updating my story The Broken Soul on Mugglenet. This decision was a tough one, but I have decided that due to the unfriendliness of Mugglenet submission policies and my limited time schedule (I will be having a baby in a few months) this is necessary. I find it too much of a hassle to submit my chapter, wait for weeks on end to have it validated, and then have it rejected for very small details or have the chapter validated and not show as validated on the website. If the latter happens then the moderator has to send the error off to a coder to fix which can take a day to a week or more. I understand that Mugglenet is busy and that they have a lot of submissions to go through, but I don’t think it is fair for such long waits for the readers or myself. So I will be abandoning this story, but don’t get too upset because my story is posted on HPFF (and it’s completed!). So instead of messing with two websites, I will now only have to deal with one. If you would like to continue to read my story click, on the following link, which will take you to my author page http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com/viewuser.php?showuid=62783. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause for you. I appreciate you as a reader and that is why I am emailing you to let you know of what will be happening. I hope to see you on HPFF! Wow, shocking ending there. But I'm confused: why should Harry be dead? Were all of the other Ministry prisoners killed, too, and he was the only one left?

I just read this entire fanfic in one go. WOW. You are a super talented writer, I love how you portray all the characters. (Especially harry and ginny, do you think we could have more moments with those two?) I do have one question, if lily and snape were such good friends how come he was so awful to her in that memory harry saw when snape was giving him occulmecy lessons? just wondering..
FACNTASTIC job. i cant wait for the next chapter

Wow, I just read this chapter... and I can't believe the ending of it, I was really upset when I couldn't continue to the next chapter because the mods haven't put it through... not that mad... That was an amazing ending, I love how mad-eye is speaking to Harry, always mistrusting, "the question is, why are you still alive Mr. Potter." so like him..... great stuff...can't wait for more.... I’ve been reading the story since twelve something this even and I love it. SNAPE IS A GOOD GUY yes! Anyway, I love it - the cliffy at the end . . . maybe Harry’s father necklace had some say in his mystery survival. That boy has more lives the slyest cats, I swear on everything that is Harry Potter! Waiting until the next validation . . .!

WHAT?! How can the people in the ministry just die like that? Wow this was a chapter full of surprises. They were able to find the fifth horcrux, although Neville had to risk his life for it. And thank you so much for clarifying the relationship Lily and Severus had, it put mine, and Harry’s mind, at ease about that whole situation. But the whole thing about the ministry is just mind-boggling! Please, please don’t let Harry be Voldemort’s secret weapon or anything of that sort. But I am wondering why nothing happened to Harry? Can’t wait for the next chapter!!
