That was a really amazing story.I am going to put it in my favourites. But poor Cassandra! No one except Sarah is being nice to her.Alta Abrams is just a nasty brat,Gwen is being stupid, Filch makes her into a slave. The teachers are treating her with contempt and even her own parents are ashamed of her!But Sarah is being very friendly and xeniel, So why dosen't Cassandra want to be friends?
Author's Response: Thanks so much! And Alta is definetely a loser. The thing about Sarah is that she's a muggleborn and she looks different from other people. Just because Cassandra experiences prejudice doesn't mean she can give up her own prejudices, unfortunately.
You can review before a story is validated because umm... well I don't know why you just can. It's really fun being the first reviewer. That's why reviewed before it was validated. Umm...how do you spam up on reviews??
Author's Response: Like this. Please, only review if you have something to say about the story.
Oh, you're such a great writer...I feel aful for Cassandra. She's losing her naiveness (that's not a real word, but whatever.)
Keep it up : )
Author's Response: thanks so much! Although I don't think it's so much that Cassandra's losing her naiveness (great word, by the way) but showing that she's much more like her parents than everybody thinks...
I enjoy this story. It's different but in a good way. It's nice to read a different story instead the same stories over and over again. It is also well written.
Author's Response: thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Great story! I can't wait to hear more of it! Your very talented.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it (and me) so much! Thanks for the review!
Well! Apparently Cassandra hasn't learned her lesson. It makes her a much more realistic character, though, and I applaud your decision to have her treat Sarah that way, though I do hope she changes eventually for the better. Why did Harry laugh at Eric? And why is he back at Hogwarts? Will Cassandra meet him? This story seems very good so far. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Yes, Cassandra may never learn- I'm glad you liked that about her. As to your Eric questions, they'll be answered in later chapters. Thanks for the review!
I usually would wait for the last chapter to review a story with several chapters up, but I had to ask, why didn't her parents help her pack? and why couldn't she ask McGonagall if she'd need sheets and pillows instead of just guessing?
Also, in paragraph 4:
Author's Response: Her parents are still in shock at this point- you'll see more about why later. So is Cassandra, really. Thanks for the review!
Okay Cassandra was really rude to her!*shakes head* Why most she be so stupid? Sarah sounds really cool! Well, I hope you update soon! And yes I do love the story!
Author's Response: Poor, prejudiced Cassandra. I love her, but you're right, she can be stupid. Glad you love it, and thanks for the review!
Uhh...yeah I like the story! But the chapter isn't validated yet.
Author's Response: then how did you get a review in? And please, as much as I love reviews... don't spam them up.
Haha! First reviewer! Yeepee!
Author's Response: coolness! But the question is... did you like the story?????
Cassandra is very good and kind, and she dosen't deserve to be treated so badly!Filch is being mean and nasty, and Alta Abrams is very rude. Why does every one look down on squibs? That is not nice at all! But Sarah Morgan seems friendly. Will she make friends with Cassandra?
Author's Response: The thing about squibs is that they're considered almost a lesser race- but you're definetely right, nobody deserves to be treated like that. Especially Cassandra, but Filch too. And really, do you think I could actually tell you if Sarah is going to make friends? That would be no fun at all. Thanks for the review!
Excellent! This is wonderful. I never considered squibs before. I thought they were insane old people who are obsessed with cats. But Cassandra is great. She's always very nice and friendly, and she is very brave, to stay at hogwarts even though she can't do magic. It's not fair for them all to dislike her, they are being very stupid. Will they learn the error of they're ways and befriend her, or will she end up having to leave the world of magic forever?
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it- because even Mrs. Figg and Filch went through the same thing once, and it also goes back to prejudice against muggle-borns, and prejudice in our own world. And I can't answer your question, that would spoil the entire story! Thanks for the review!
Hey Tink! Remember me? I really like your story, it's a cool concept! Interesting plot twists. That Alta girl is evil. How did she end up in Gryffindor? And I liked how you pulled the Trio in too. Eric Much... Eric Munch... Oh! I remember where I've heard that name before! He used to be the guy with the Wand-checking thingie in OotP! Go me!Great ideas, am looking for updates, and 10/10! ~saveginny417
Author's Response: How could I forget you, the first person to add this story to their favorites? I'm glad you like the story so much! And yes, you are officially the first person to figure out where Eric is from! Yay you! Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: oh, and for the record- I think I was mentally unstable when I responded to you... because I didn't realize it's YOU! yay!
Oh, porr Cassandra; she's so naive...I really feel sorry for her. You wrote her very realistically. : )
Author's Response: I'm getting so many new reviewers on this chapter- I must have done something right! But if you think she's naive now, you ain't seen nothing yet.... thanks for the review!
I really like that chapter, because Cassandra meets the students for the first time. It's a pity Alta is so rude. Proffessor Slughorn should let Cassandra join the slug club, because squibs are rare, and that way she would meet some nice people, instead of idiots like Alta.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it- I think everybody was looking forward to Cassandra meeting the students. (Well, except me, but that's only because I knew how she'd be treated.) I don't think she'll go into the Slug Club, because being a squib is more of a defect than a rarity, unfortunately. Thanks for the review!
That is the best chapter so far! I especially like the sorting hats song, but it's so good, you should have made it longer. Alta is very nasty, though, I hope some one turns her into a toad.
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it! That sorting hat song was the bane of my existence. It took me about two weeks longer than usual to write this chapter, and it was because of that stupid song. But hey, I'm a Hufflepuff, so I couldn't give my house a reputation for slackers. And yeah, Alta is incredibly nasty, but unfortunately I don't see her turning into a toad in the near future. Thanks for the review!
Burn Alta! Burn! She needs to DIE! Poor Cassandra! I feel soooo bad for her. Why was Harry laughing at the new DA teacher? I hope I'm assuming right. Though with authors this days you never know. Now for my favorite saying, update soon! I'm loving the story although Alta needs to Die!
Author's Response: Are you saying authors are mentally unstable? Well, you would probbaly be correct in most cases, but here yes, Harry is laughing at the new DA teacher. You see Harry has met the teacher before in a most unexpected place... try to figure it out if you can, I'd love to see somebody pick up on it! Thanks for the review!
Thats a great story. Poor Cassandra! I thinl its disgraceful, how most witches and wizards are prejudiced against squibs. Really, its utter balderdash. But you are showing how it feels to be a squib, and it is an excellent story. Please hurry up and finish writing it, I want to find out what happens! P.S. Why dont you have Cassandra make friends with Luna? That would be nice.
Author's Response: thanks, I'm glad you like it! It's horrible how she's treated, I know. Sometimes it saddens me that I'm putting the poor girl through all this. As for Luna, I don't think they could be close friends since Cassandra is (sort of) a first year and Luna is a sixth year, but they just might be casual friendlyish.... thanks for the review!
This story is fascinating. I can't wait for the next chapter. It presents a whole new perspective that I have only vaguely imagined before, and I am eager to hear more.
Will Cassandra ever wise up, though? Will she ever get something else to wear besides dress robes?
Author's Response: She does have an odd thing for dress robes- but I can promise, if not normal robes, more ragged dress robes in the future. Think Ron's, only not nearly as bad. And as to whether she'll wise up, well, you'll just have to keep reading, won't you. Thanks for the review!
Oooh, being a squib is hard :(
I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter, update soon!
(And I really am liking Hagrid after this chappie)
Author's Response: I can't say this from personal experience, but from what cassandra is going through I can DEFINETELY agree that yes, being a squib is lousy. It makes you feel for old figgy, doesn't it? Thanks for the review!
