Okay I know it is going to be heck for her. I feel so sad for her. She is so naive and it's going to crush her when she finds out nobody going to talk to her. Poor, poor Casandra. ={(

Author's Response: Believe me, you have no idea. =) Thanks for the review!

Chapter: A Hogwarts Cinderella

Poor Cassandra!!
I love her personality, the way she's still a bit of a priss even after scrubbing Hogwarts up and down.
I can't wait for an update! : )

Author's Response: thanks! And yeah, she's actually kind of stuck up, because she's been spoiled so much at home. And the next chapter is with my beta, so it should be up within the next couple of weeks- cross your fingers!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Poor cassandra... maybe she would be happier if I told her people were enjoying her misery.

love it but its so sad, boo hoo lol
xxheatherxx

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you love it! And I'm afraid to say that its not going to get much better for Cassandra from here on out. In fact, it might just get a whole lot worse... but you'll discover THAT when you read chapter three, which I'm about to send to my beta. so thanks for the review!

Chapter: The News

Well, this is a point of view not usually explored, and I think you're going about it very well. Usually, I don't find OCs in main roles in a story encouraging at all, but Cassandra is written extremely well, and her personality is so realistically constructed that it's hard not to like her. I look forward to her arrival at Hogwarts - what I'm assuming will be another side of Filch and the student population's general reaction to her, because some would sympathise, and some would be all high and mighty about it... So yes. Very exciting. *Stares at screen, waiting for next chapter*

Author's Response: You're just everywhere today, aren't you? I meant that in a good way, in case it sounded sarcastic. And I'm loving her arrival at Hogwarts as well. I wouldn't call what Filch is going to be like so much of 'another side' but... well you'll just have to wait and see, won't you? But you'll meet Filch and (most) of the staff in the next couple of chapters, and the students will be introduced in chapter... four, I believe. Actually I just finished writing chapter three, so that will be quite fun to write... and now I'm babbling. Thanks for the excellent review! P.S. I like your username as well!

Lovely! You had me hooked to the chapter until the very end. What else should I say? Ah, yes, I think that Squibs are treated as inferiors, so I hope that Cassandra will be happy! Good luck with the next chapters, I'll be watching this story!

Author's Response: Well, I can't promise she'll be happy, but I can't really say anything more! Thanks for the wonderful review!

Very nice. I could also feel Cassandra's dread. You captured her feelings very well. I like your style. I don't know, but it has a certain aura around it. The only thing I didn't like was the parent's reactions. I mean, they should love their daughter and hide their dissapointment.

That aside, great job! 9/10

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Between you and HP_Ber I've never gotten so many great reviews on my style. Although Cassandra's parents aren't very nice, are they? I've got to admit, I also wish they were a bit kinder about her squibness, but that wouldn't have been very interesting. I might work them into a later chapter just so I can write them again- they're good characters to write.

Chapter: The News

I enjoyed the beginning of the story, but what I didn't understand, and I'm not sure I liked, was, if Cassandra is essentially going to be a student at the school, why couldn't she arrive by train with the other students? I mean, sure, she's not taking Transfiguration or Charms, or any other classes requiring a wand, but won't she be taking Herbology and Potions and Care of Magical Creatures and the like? How come she's going two weeks early? I would have liked it if she got to go as a student and used her free time (when she would otherwise have been in wand classes) apprenticing with Filch. But otherwise, I really did enjoy it. I like your style. I felt part of the story, felt Cassandra's dread and could SEE that red highbacked chair her father was sitting in by the fire. Good job!

Author's Response: Cassandra is essentially going to school as an apprentice caretaker, not as a student. She will be taking a few classes, but they'll be scheduled around her caretaker duties, not the other way around. As for why she's going early, that will be (hopefully) clear in the next few chapters, so I don't want to give too much away... Thank you so much for the wonderful review!
