Chapter: A New Beginning

I really enjoyed this chapter, it was quite different from most first chapters in that it told us a little of what they were like before. I really enjoyed Lily's accidental magic stories, and James' first crush, I'm guessing he got alot better at kissing since then. Can't wait to read more, please update soon.

The title seems misleading. Before and after what?

What is good is that there is a subtle comparison between Lily and James and how they both handle rejection.

Petunia rejects Lily because of emotional magic. Lily is called a freak and looks for acceptance that she never gets from Petunia.

James is rejected by Chanel and is hurt. But Chanel unlike Petunia asks for forgiveness and James refuses.

Whereas Lily is looking for acceptance and accepts it even though she has been hurt, James lets his hurt prevent him from being truly accepted and chooses to accept a more superficial relationship.
