Another, if alternate, bit of your SS literature.
I do like how much depth you give to your characters - their personalities are all shades of grey, not motionless blacks and whites.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the reviews--I really appreciate your thoughts on my characterization; you seem to see just what I was hoping to show!
I enjoyed this story very much. Your characterization of Severus was very well done. He can be a tough character to write and I think you did a good job. I love that he is dying and still finds the time to be his snide self. He is one of my favorite characters because there is so much that we don't know about him. You did an excellent job of getting us into his head. I'm not so sure about Harry though. He reacted in a way I wouldn't expect him to react, especially if he doesn't know why Severus killed Dumbledore. I think Harry would keep him alive long enough to find out, but I don't think he would show Severus so much kindness. When Severus killed Dumbledore, Harry felt that Severus had not only betrayed Albus, but Harry and everyone else as well. He felt used and was more angry than I think he has ever been before. This was an interesting take on a scene I believe we will see in Book 7. There were also a few grammar spots that I noticed. Just little things to be wary of in the final editing. I really liked this story, especially the ending. I think (hope) Harry will come to realize the importance of Severus' role to the Order and that he will eventually appreciate everything that Severus went through. Very good job!
Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked my characterization of Snape, but, yes, you're definitely right about Harry. This story was more about my wish for Snape's redemption and survival than anything. Thanks so much for reading anyway.
P.S. If you happen to remember where the grammar errors are, let me know and I'll fix them.
Once again, well written, true (maybe) to canon** and highly entertaining.
**Harry's last encounter with Snape might be better with "Die!" ... "Die!" rather than "Why?" ... "Why?". ;-)
Author's Response: I think I have to agree with you about the "Die!...Die!" So thanks for suspending disbelief anyway. (And thank you for the laugh; that footnote just cracks me up!)
Wow. Just wow. That was....wow. So cool. I absolutely love the way your portrayed the characters. It was definatley spiffy. I really liked it.
Author's Response: Sorry for taking so long to respond! Despite the delay, I really appreciate your taking the time to review: Thank you!
As usual, your writing makes me speechless. The characters and events seems so plausible (except maybe the bit about Harry calling Snape "sir") =)
Author's Response: Thank you! I don't know about plausible, but it's definitely my book 7 wish for Snape.
