Chapter: Buckbeak's Ferret Dinner

Leave it to you to write a story featuring Buckbeak. My favourite line is "For Buckbeak would be in the free outdoors again. And Sirius would be forever free beyond the veil." Okay, maybe that's two lines. You've got a very unique style. It's rough, but I like that. I'm keeping an eye out for the scarlet letter, but I haven't seen it yet . . . my James/Lily fic got validated. Yes! It seems like finger crossing does work! Now I have another free verse poem waiting for validation called Can You Hear Me Now? I hope you'll read both, because I value your feedback. I've completely veered off topic. Your story. Buckbeak's Ferret Dinner. Right. Well, what can I say? You're brilliant. I would say keep it up, but somehow, I feel like you intend to.

Author's Response: Whee, thanks for the long review! I love long reviews. I really liked this story, and it seems other people really like it too, for which I'm quite glad. I'll have to make sure to read your new stories. As for "The Scarlett Letter", Mugglenet said it was very well-written and fine, but that I needed to cut down the author's notes, then resubmit it. So that's what I'm doing--right now, in fact :)

I'm pretty sure I've read this story on HPFF a very long time ago and really enjoyed reading it then, but I just want to tell you that I remember reading this story and still love it. This is one of the cutest and most breath-taking one-shots in the fanfic world. As fellow one-shot writer, I know it is hard to pack all those emotions and feelings you want to convey in such a short medium. You did a great job with this fic. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest one-shots ever written! Amazing job!

Author's Response: Wow, really?? Now I think my own cheek is going to hurt from smiling so much! I truly like this fic myself (I'm more pleased with it than my fic "Under the Emerald Spell Light"). I'm so glad that you found it so wonderful. You've made my day!

I really enjoyed this story. I adore Buckbeak. You did a great job.

Author's Response: I adore Buckbeak, too, but nearly as much as Hedwig! lol. She's is another of my stories, called "Woes of a Midget Owl"

That's a very good story. I like the way Buckbeak and Sirius were unhappy at the begining, and then got rewarded in the end; Sirius is gone to Heaven, and Buckbeak is gone to hogwarts.

Author's Response: I was quite glad with how the story ended, too. It was much better than how I originally thought it would be.

aww...poor beaky *sob* i wish Sirius didnt have to die...he was my favorite character

Author's Response: I know!! His death was by far the most powerful part of the series--it was soooo sad! I still cry when I reread it, even though I've read the book at least 10 times! Poor Buckbeak. . . at least JK acknowledged that he missed Sirius.

You like to write about animals don't you? I guess I never really thought about how the animals in the stories felt about the things going on around them, but this story really makes me wonder why I didn't. I was almost crying when I read about how Buckbeak felt about Sirius leaving him, I know that's stupid but I was! Poor little Beaky, he really formed a bond with Snuffles didn't he? Great writing, I loved it!

Author's Response: Yes, I do like writing about animals, or anything else weird that presents itself for an excellent story. And don't feel stupid about almost crying--so was I, when I wrote it! Beaky did form a bond with Snuffles--and the only other person who noticed it besides me was J.K. Rowling herself! (*smiles smugly and can't help but feel a proud of myself, even though that's rather arrogant of me--oh well*)

You like writing about the pets don't you?
I liked this, very nice.

Author's Response: Heehee--yes, I certainly do. Thanks for liking this--it hasn't been reviewed in a while. Read also my other stories--"Woes of a Midget Owl" (Hedwig/Pigwidgeon), "Under the Emerald Spell Light" (Argus/Irma), and "Heat" (a Crookshanks fic).
