I like this. It's lighthearted and cute, and yet since we know what had just happened to james and lily, it's stilll also a bit melancholy. actually I think the saddest part is that this woman tiffany would be carrying around lemon drops for a while, possibly long after dumbledore is killed. gives me a creepy feeling in my stomach. especially since i picture dumbledore like richard harris, and he did die.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review! I appreciate every single one!

This story made me smile. That Albus Dumbledore's a smart guy - we should spend more time rejoicing. Thanks for writing this.

Author's Response: I'm glad I could bring a little happiness into someone's life. Thank you!

I loved this. It was sweet and sour, just like lemon drops. When I read fanfics liek this, Iwonder if maybe I might ever meet an Albus Dumbledore, and if I do will I know it.

Author's Response: I think we all wish to have an Albus Dumbledore in our lives. Thank you for your review!

First of all, congrats on being nominated in QSQs! I came across this fic there so thought I'd check it out.

This is beautifully written. I love the way that you have taken a simple aspect of the canon and elaborated on it in such an interesting way.

The use of first person in this works really well, and Tiffany's descriptions of post-war London are fascinating to read about from the "muggle" point of view.

The ending in particular, was very well written. I think that you have summerised Dumbledore's manner and the way that he affects others, exactly right!

Author's Response: Crazy Purple Harry Potter Freak, thank you and thank you again! Gosh, I don't know what to say, the news that I was nominated in QSQ's didn't reach me until I read your review. I'm speechless!

Great story! It's a neat idea, writing about Dumbledore from the salesperson's point of view. Good job! I have one question: Is Mrs. Thomas Dean's mother?
~JBV

Author's Response: Good question! But, I'd have to say no. Jo Rowling says on her website that Dean Thomas is a Londoner (a very interesting background, I recommend you read it!). I don't think his mother would go all the way to Little Whinging just for chocolate but you never know...we women sometimes go to crazy lengths to satisfy our chocolate cravings! Thank you for your review.

This one-shot made me rejoice! You write well. You have control over your adjectives-- not too many, not too few. that is hard to do, and I admire your work here greatly. The story was simple and sweet; it made me smile. Bravo! I am off to see if you have written anything else.

Pax.

Author's Response: Guess I better get writing then! Thank you!!

That was wonderful, m'dear! Quite original, really. It was a lovely tale and you told it with such grace. The ending part, especially, stood out from the rest. Great job!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I never knew I wrote with grace...quite a complement in my mind. Thank you again and again!

This story is fantastic! It's touching and funny, and just plain awesome! Dumbledore had a bit of a Santa Claus quality to him- the twinkle in the eye, and then he's gone on to make somebody else's life better. Brilliant! 10/10

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Dumbledore makes everything better!

A very nice, very touching story. I love the way that Albus has made a stop on his journey to buy his favourite sweets. The courtesy with which he treated the young lady serving reminded me in many ways of my own Grandfather. I could almost imagine him standing there saying Albus' words. A very good, enchanting tale.

Author's Response: Ooh, twice the encouragement! Thanks again, Silverboy

A very sweet story, I like the idea that Dumbledore made a little stop and that he would always be interested in what common muggles had to say. Well done.

Author's Response: I always said what the world needs now is love, sweet love! Thank you Kerian. By the way, I like your name!
