No interaction what so ever with the male species. Intresting. You know, that might actually make life easier. I think Holly really does have a crush on Diggory. Was he burned very badly when his hand caught on fire? I wouldn't want Holly's crush to have a disfigured hand. Lily's grandfather sounds nice. Okay, okay. I'll stop rambling now. Great story, funny chapter, and update soon please. I loved the 'toodles' thing at the end. I've actually signed one of my personal diary entries that way (and that is the most anyone will ever know about whats in my diary). I've started rambling again so I'll stop now.

No, I don't think it's too short, I think it's fine. I don't know that I had pictured Lily having this exact personallity, I guess I'd picture her being a little more layed back, but Jk Rowling doesn't describe her personality in the books much does she? And someone's diary is where they express thier emotions strongly.... so overall (of what I've read so far) I give it a 10/10

Great chapter! Just one little thing; you described Snape as a 'snarky birk". I love it and I think it suits him perfectly, but the word is actually spelled 'berk'.
Aside from that, it was fantastic. I really liked the 'If Slughorn Were My Grandfather' bit. And I enjoyed your description of Sirius and James as 'Two of the most insufferable beings to walk the earth'. It sounds like something Lily would say. I really like how well you have developed her character in this story. Update soon!
Author's Response: Ah! I definitely didn't know that. I'm American so my horrible London-isms will most likely be consistent. I only ask that you overlook future spellings of the word "berk" because I'm way to lazzzy to go and edit them all. ;)
