This was good! I don't mind that it's short. One sentence I think you should look over, near the end, 'I don't want her to see the part about me being envious of her cool earlier.' I think you might be missing a word or something, because it just doesn't sound right. Good job again!
The Lily in this chapter reminds me so much of a friend of mine. Last year, when my friend turned eighteen, she made an oath not to interact with boys of any kind. She told her co-worker that she had a phobia of consuming dairy products in the sunlight to avoid sharing a milkshake with him. Haha, I'm thoroughly enjoying your version of Lily!

I really liked this first chapter! It introduced Lily perfectly, telling us everything we needed to know without rambling on. I think you've portrayed her very realistically and it would make J.K. Rowling proud. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the story and can't wait to see what Lily writes about. Well done on writing such a good first chapter, this story definitely has potential! :D

I have to say I really enjoyed this fanfic. I read it all in one sitting and was laughing the entire time. Thanks for a great laugh and an even better read. I've also read what you have so far in "Nuttier Than A Fruitcake" and I like it. My only complaint is that it isn't finished yet! Please continue with it as soon as possible...

Aw, you're so hard on yourself! The story has been absolutely *excellent* so far, and not slow or boring at all!
