What a fantastic insight into Narcissa's head. And it makes so much sense too, if it weren't for Draco being dead it would fit in so well with the books. n fact i'll pretend you meant Draco is emotionally dead because I'd love to add this to my missing-from-the-books list. Great job.

Oh my gosh... that was so wonderfully written. I applaud you through and through. I'm a thorough Narcissa fan now, because I feel like I can understand her. Wow. Simply amazing.

This was really good. Although, when I found our it was a Severus & Narcissa fiction I was a bit turned off it, you see, I immensly dislike Snape, he's just so icky and greasy... *Shudders*. Anyway, other than that it was really really good. So everyone who thinks it isn't, shut up...

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Severus is my absolute favorite, and I am starting to seriously consider Severus/Narcissa my OTP (which would cause a huge wrench in my own fiction!).

There was only one little thing I noticed, and that was I think where you talked about the family taking her sight unseen. It is written Malfoy's instead of Malfoys. I don't think the apostrophe is needed.

I'm just heartbroken with this. Darn Severus being moral and noble. He loved her; he should have made an offer to her. And when she kissed him and he said "you're married", even though on the whole I do NOT support adultery, I could have hit him. It breaks my heart how people will turn their back on true love. Especially when that love is from someone who obviously doesn't love or accept love easily.

Again, brilliant. 10/10. If you ever choose to expand this into a chaptered tale, you would have at least one faithful reader.

Hey, so the Black Prince sails in a mind other than my own!

Excellent characterization; we see Narcissa in much the same light, although your Narcissa is a bit better at knowing her true feelings in the first place than mine is :) And Severus as well--his levelheaded detachment is always the dominant personalty trait showing, and I can only imagine it'd be such in love as well. Poor Sev. Poor Cissa. Moral of the story: be true to yourself!

Er, will there be more? I'd read more of course, but "FIN" tends to indicate a one-shot in my mind.
