Chapter: Hanging On...and Letting Go

Genius! I love this fict. You write so much like JKR. You are a brilliant writer!

Author's Response: oh, thank you very very much. That's a lovely compliment, and I am very glad you are enjoying reading this story. If you can believe it, when I started writing it nearly a year ago, I expected it to be three or four very short, very fluffy chatpers. Look what happened!

ohh its getting very interesting now.hmmmm but is snape really good???

Author's Response: hhhhmmm. I guess, what is "good" to you? Is Snape kind? Sweet? Loving? Maybe not...but is he a decent person? I think so...maybe. ;-)

great chapter! i really like how you brought in the first few chapters of this fic, with the fred and george remarks. i have to say though, this fic is getting a bit hard to follow, with all the chapers and all...but, you do a good job of bringing them all together towards the end. once you've finished this fic, i would really look foward to a fic much like the beginning, the wedding part of this fan fic. great job always!
Miriam

Author's Response: Miriam - yes, I know that there's lots of stuff going on - I am trying to whittle things down a bit, without losing the story. I am harkening back to the beginning of the story, because, I am brining back some of the unanswered questions from before - such as, "Who is Percy really loyal to?" and "Who is the Minister using to spy on Harry and Co?" I have a feeling once I finish this epic fanfic, I will still have something left in me to do some fluffy one-shots too! :-)

*sigh of satisfaction* this was a perfect chapter. Fred's acting crazy, people are embarrassed, and a sad/sweet ending. so so so good! please update soon!!

Author's Response: Oh thanks so much! I will be updating more regularly, I hope - don't know why, but it took some time to push the last chapter past the mods. Now that I am being a good little author, maybe I will get approved faster! ;-)

can't wait for more, i really love this story!!! :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much...it's weird, I am not seeing or hearing from as many readers as usual for this chapter, and I was wondering if folks had lost interest! But i will keep writing the story so long as a handful of faithful fans enjoy it! :-)

YAY! I guess I owe you a really longg review...

Ok... I really liked the description of Fred with Hermione, it was priceless! You portrayed Harry really well, I would've been suprised if he had fogiven Snape that easily. and another thing, no evil cliffie this ime! *cough* I think that was a very well done chapter, well worth the wait! thanks again!
_Dumbledores Girl_

Author's Response: Thanks, Dumbledore's Girl...yah, enough of the cliffies already, right??? Though they are quite fun to write. *laughs evily* I really appreciate the support and reviews, they mean so much. Look for a new chappie soon!

Chapter: Hanging On...and Letting Go

Another awesome chapter! I love how you tied Fred’s “disappointment” with Ron and Hermione being an obvious couple with the incident earlier in the story with the pancakes - too cute! And of course you had the Weasley family down perfectly and that Molly would be cooking no matter if it was 4 in the morning or afternoon – that’s her way of showing love. You know my opinion about Snape but you’ve taken another popular theory (Dumbledore wanted Snape to kill him) and worked it wonderfully into your story. I could see Harry feeling like it was partly his fault since he couldn’t do anything to prevent it, that would be just like him to take it on himself like that and not being able to accept that perhaps Snape did what Dumbledore requested. It will be interesting to see how you portray them when they finally do meet up. I see from your other reviews that you are bringing back something from an earlier chapter – does this mean we finally find out who is the spy that Scrimgeour is working with??? Do we see more of Percy??? Unlike my opinion of Snape, I really do want to see Percy redeem himself and get back in the good graces of the rest of the family. I think he was just naive (although very pompous) and fooled into believing the Ministry – not a bad person. I am so sorry you didn’t will a Quill award – I think you deserved it! I enjoy the story so much and it gets better and better with each chapter. We'll just have to come up with our award for you since it is obvious from the other reviews how much your faithful readers love this story! Take care! Sara

Author's Response: AAAAAH! I just wrote you this very long response, Sara, and got timed out, lost the whole darned thing, and had to log in again. Anyway, the gist of my response was thanks so so so much for being such a faithful reader...and to tell you, you really ARE onto something with your suspicions. Suffice to say, the next chapter is entitled, "The Snitch (And Not of the Golden Variety)". You are good...very very good. :-) ~ Colleen

Chapter: Hanging On...and Letting Go

Aww, that was one of the most amazing chapters I've ever read! No joke! I loved Harry's outburst, and the moment between him and Ginny was great. I thought it was great that Harry lost control and just broke down and cried. He needs that emotional help from Ginny, and I seriously hope that they stay together in Book 7!

Author's Response: Yeah, I knew I had to handle the situation with Snape carefully - "my" version of Hermione and Fiora are pretty convinced that Snape is on the good team, but that's going to be very very hard for Harry to accept, without total absolute proof. Should be interesting...I am really enjoying writing. I think I am going to knock a few people over with the next chapter...I am bringing back something from earlier in the story. Stay tuned!

Short and Sweet, and that tantrum was so Harry. Loved it. : )

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed - though actually, it was a long(ish) chapter for me. :-) I will be updating again soon, jumping back into the action and adventure, as well as some delightful romance for our heroes!

EXCELLENT CHAPTER!! I kinda have 2 side w/ Harry on the Snape issue...he did kill Dumbledore...but now after hearin Ginny's theory I'm not so sure...lol!! What a great chapter keep up the good work!! I can't wait 2 read more!!

Author's Response: Thanks so much - yeah, Snape is probably JKR's most interesting character, because he's rude, petty, snide, but...is he evil? Who knows? I am having fun guessing though. Thanks for reading.

Chapter: Hanging On...and Letting Go

Great chapter! Worth the wait! I love the kitchen scene at the Burrow! Fred is always good for a laugh and knows exactly how to push Ron's buttons! So glad Remus is back. Ginny seems to be the one who can talk the most sense into Harry. She's very special that way. I love that last sentance; miracles do happen every day. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Hurrah!! Glad you enjoyed it so much. I am wringing out my hankie that I didn't win a Quicksilver Quills Award, but am gonna get busy and back to work! :-)
