i very much like the idea of the "Ancient Magic." It opens up a whole new perspective on fighting the battle...Interesting...

Author's Response: I kept the "Ancient Magic" book vague and open so that you could bring your own interpretation to that particular piece of magical information. I'm glad that you enjoyed it, and I sincerely appreciate the review!

Chapter: Finding the True Path

I really enjoyed your story. I think you did a good job of capturing the complex emotions that Harry is feeling about his mission. I am not sure how realistic it is that the teachers would help Ginny go on such a dangerous mission though. I am also not sure Harry would be so forgiving of her taking such a risk. It might have been more realistic if he had gotten angry with her at first and ultimately realized he was happy she was there. Overall though I think you did a good job of explaining how she found him and getting them to admit their feelings for one another. Good story!

Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the long review! I really don't see Flitwick helping Ginny out that much either, but I needed a quick explanation that didn't drag things out too long - so I used Flitwick and his "book." Also, I have since rewritten this one-shot and called it "The Nameless Charm." I added quite a bit to it and focused more on the charm itself and Harry's emotions - you may like that one better. I'm getting ready to try to post it here, but it'll have a strong "R" rating due to the rather erm... "adult" ending, so you'll need to be 17 or older to view it. I'm also posting it at FictionAlley.com under the The Astronomy Tower section if your interested - Harry's a little more angry in that one.

Author's Response: Ten out of ten is high praise, indeed, thank you! Sorry, I haven't responded before now, but I didn't realize anyone else had read it. That'll teach me to check my stories more often, won't it! Anyway, thanks again and I truly appreciate you taking the time to review.

I loved this story. You did an awesome job of describing how both Harry and Ginny would be feeling without eachother. I love that you had Ginny find him too because I don't like to think that she would just sit around doing nothing. Anyway, awesome job.

Author's Response: Thank you. I thought it was high time that Ginny "saved" Harry from himself - it just felt appropriate somehow. Thanks again for sharing your review. :-)

This is a very good story. Very emotional, but great nonetheless. I think maybe you should move it out of R/H adn H/G to jsut H/G becasue the bit of R and H is very very small, and it can't even be said as romance between them. YOiu might get more readers too if you move it. It is a good fic and I am glad that i was searching for a one-shot b/c i found this. great job!

Author's Response: Thank you. I do tend to write with a lot of emotion - I'm always drawn to it for some reason, I don't really know why. I guess I felt the need for Harry and Ginny to have that kind of emotional moment and connection, so I created one for them when they were reunited. I did also take your advice and move it to the Harry/Ginny only section. Thanks again for reviewing. :-)

This story is so touching and the writing is very smooth. You capture Harry's despair and Ginny's bravery (and what they feel for each other) in a very moving way.

Author's Response: Thank you very much, I have always felt that Ginny was an extremely brave person - especially since she's fallen for a "marked man." I made Harry fairly depressed in my story because I felt that IF Harry is separated from Ginny for a significant amount of time, loneliness and sadness are sure to set in. Thanks again for taking the time to review. :-)
