Chapter: Of Disturbed Stomachs, Green Hair and Ballet

=D I love this little James! So small, and skinny, and hilariously! He's a really great friend, and I love the thought of him being like a reluctant agony aunt to the others - and when he thought, "Why am I the only normal one?" I nearly exploded with love for him - since I think that all the time! As for being unable to handle people crying: absolutely my problem. In fact, I'm known amongst my friends for my inability to do anything but pat them on the back.

You know, one of the things I love about this fic is how realistic the characters' emotions are - normally in these fics, they come to school as slightly shorter versions of their future selves. Particularly Sirius, who always seems to be able to shrug off his families disapproval without a care in the world ... but you've made him care, and I have to say, it's very impressive.

Congratulations on an excellent, well written and thoughtful fic. I look forward to an update!

Chapter: Of monsters, vicious trees, socks and metaphors

Oh my cod (yeah, I said cod).

That was so ... that chapter! Cod! The image of James ... little James, who I've always been so attached to, ever since I first read the scene by the lake ... little James, sitting there beneath that trap door, trembling, alone, crying, listening to his friend going through hell ... cod, the thought almost reduced me to tears! And then when he started yelling at Remus, and Remus's heart was breaking at the thought of losing his friend ... cod. I just wanted to give them the biggest hugs they'd ever had in their lives!

And then Peter! Lovely Peter! "So how about those socks?" Eeee! For the first time in my life, I wanted to give him a big hug, too!

This is an extraordinary story. I wasn't going to review until I reached the end (or, as far as it goes, I mean) but look what happened.

I'm not sure I'll ever get that image of James - my baby James who I always love no matter how badly he's portrated, who I'm considering marrying some time soon - under that trap door out of my head. Because I have an ability to put myself in other people shoes and really feel what they would be feeling right then. And his tears! And his forcing himself to stay there all night and listen to it! And - And - And - oh, James, I don't think I've ever loved him quite in the same way as I did right then! I felt ... I felt these really maternal instincts to just hug him, and - get this - he's a fictional character.

This was truly - from the bottom of my heart - one of the best chapters I've ever read on this site.

I love this story, I was crying when I read this chapter, you're one of the few authors who have managed to make me really feel the emotional side to Remus' definitely deserved to win the quicksilver quill prize...the only thing I wasn't sure about was Lily, just because J.K Rowling said she was popular and you've made her seem more of a nerdy firstyearhermione loner... anyway I still love it xx

Ah. That was a satisfying chapter! I really liked the way James was nervous about trying out, and then he was just happy to be in the air. That's how I feel when I get ready for a big soccer game. I think you captured that feeling beautifully, and I can't wait for the next chapter. I have enjoyed immensely reading this story, and though I haven't been here for each chapter, and this is my first time reading it, I still really like it, and I will make sure to leave comments whenever possible, because I know that they are very helpful and indeed, important for a writer, being one myself. I just wanted you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter especially, and other chapters, too. Thanks,

Oh, gosh, you updated!!! Finally!!! I would've abandoned following this story if I hadn't seen your other fanfic, Marie Antoinette, quite recently updated, so I hoped that you'd update this fic soon. And you did! Congratulations, this was one brilliant chapter, and I loved the way you characterised everyone so accurately. Especially the part where James starts acting arrogant! Write more, you're really a gifted writer. (:

Great chapter, there was plenty of good character interactions. And more Lily time, YAY! I cannot wait to the transition James goes through from hating to liking Lily, it's certainly a vaiant perspective than the usual 7th-year-Lily-hates-James garb. I don't know how far your going with this story, but I certainly hope you get to that!

Chapter: Of condors, wandering at night and moon-gazing

This chapter was absolutely WONDERFUL! It is by far my favorite chapter yet. The way Remus is so scared, I mean, that's exactly how I'd be feeling in his place! You wrote it so perfectly. About how James and Sirius go exploring at night and the way they almost get caught. That is so highly reminiscent of Harry and Ron when they find the mirror of Erised, I mean, it was just totally spellbinding. Wonderful. Once again, I shall call it wonderful.

Good story! I think that you characterize James and Sirius really well, not like some stories where James is an idiot and Sirius a playboy. Hope the next chapter comes sooner :)

This story is really coming along well! I have always wondered how James and Sirius became friends. This is quite a good telling of how. I really like how James and Sirius are always making jokes about Pure-Bloods, and how James already plays tons of Quidditch even though he's not even at Hogwarts yet. Awesome. Well, Im off to read more! I'll review more after a while.
