I liked this. It was hard to imagine that Severus Snape would ever break done like that -- it seemed out of character, but I really did like the story. You seem to have the same theory as me, that he loved Lily and that's what led him back to Dumbledore's service. Good job!

Aww. That's really touching. Really touching.

It's really hard to imagine Snampe being compassionate, though. LOL.

Ahh well. I loved it!

I'm going to banner it up for the Wierd Challenge!

brilliant! all my theories have come to life! Snapes inocence! His Love for Lilly! The reason he hates Harry so much! It makes me smile! *proudly displays "I heart Snape" T-shirt.* I will wait with bated breath for the next chapter

wow, this was a really powerful piece! the retelling of snape's love for lily was a bit too dramatic for me, but otherwise, it was well written and a good plot idea. the unsure ending especially was good, because you aren't sure if the order will accept snape, but it's not a cliffhanger, becuase you kind of intuitively know that they will. great job!

Thank you for writing this! Ever since i finished the 6th book, i have stood strong by my belief that Snape is still good, but most of my friends won't hear anything of it. Wonderful job piecing all the facts together into something so convincing, i was so sure i had already read it in Rowling's work.

Beautiful! Really, really lovely one-shot. I love your characterisation of both Snape and Hermione - they both seem so very real. I thought it was perhaps a little odd that Snape gave Hermione his life-story so quickly, when he seems like such a private man, but your writing style really carried it off. I could feel the anguish Snape went through so clearly from the way you wrote his speech - it was brilliantly done. Hermione was perfect as well; from her outraged first outburst, to her final understanding and compassion towards her former teacher. I love it! Really well written, well done.

Very well written. I'm not much of a Snape fan, but I love what you did with Hermione. Thank you for advertising this in the common room! Go Hufflepuff!!!

Nice job! Snape was portrayed well; he lost control but didn't get out of character. Although Hermione did seem to trust him rather quickly, considering she had just run into him. Other than that, great story!
